Homemade Peanut Butter At home, it’s generally my mantra that food tastes better when it’s homemade and doesn’t come out of a box or jar. Peanut butter is another one of things that falls into that category...but only when there is time to make it. Luckily, rich creamy peanut butter is at your fingertips if you have a blender handy. You’ll want to shell the peanuts yourself as well, as the jarred roasted peanut flavor is a bit strong in this recipe. One pound shelled peanuts Salt to taste (about a teaspoon) 2 tablespoons honey 1 tablespoon peanut oil Put the peanuts, salt and honey into the blender and puree for a minute or two. Drizzle the oil into the blender while running and process until smooth. Keep in an airtight containter in the refridgerator.
