In the Customize the Ribbon drop-down list, choose the tabs you want to affect: •

Main Tabs: This is usually the best place to start, as it shows the regular set of tabs—Home, Insert, View, and so on.

All Tabs: Choose this item to display the full list of tabs.

Tool Tabs: Choose this item to display the list of tool tabs, such as the SmartArt Tools tab, the Chart Tools tab, and the Picture Tools tab.

To add a new tab, follow these steps: •

In the list of tabs in the large box on the right, click the tab after which you want to add the new tab.

Click the New Tab button. The program adds the new tab, names it New Tab (Custom), and creates a new group in it called New Group (Custom).
