Хорватский дуэт виолончелистов 2Cellos – настоящие виртуозы.
Российской публике их представил Элтон Джон в свой прошлый приезд. В этом году они приезжают самостоятельно. Их представление – не просто концерт, но еще и во всех смыслах захватывающее действие, хотя на сцене играют всего два человека (иногда их сопровождает барабанщик). Но то, как легко музыканты переходят в одном произведении от виртуозной классики скрипичной музыки к современной гитарной, вызывает восторг у всех присутствующих. Их официальное видео Thunderstruck (вариации на темы AC/DC и Вивальди) очень быстро перешагнуло за 25 млн просмотров. Путь к славе у 2Cellos начался с видео на кавер-версию песни Майкла Джексона Smooth Criminal. Когда общий приятель из Хорватии предложил записать известный хит Джексона, никто не ожидал взрывного эффекта. Но благодаря этой незатейливой идее зрители всего мира теперь могут получать удовольствие от выступления этого потрясающего дуэта. Скорее всего, 2Cellos станут постоянными и желанными гостями в России. Пропустить их первые сольные концерты настоящие ценители музыки просто не могут.

Roxette 25 лет спустя
Два года назад, после своего сенсационного возвращения, группа выступила в 46 странах на шести континентах перед миллионами своих поклонников. Возвращение Roxette началось с выпуска альбома Charm School, и далее все шло с привязкой к прошлому. Следующий студийный альбом Travelling стал «сиквелом» вышедшего в 1992 году альбома Tourism. А настоящее мировое турне посвящено 25-летию первого большого тура Roxette. В августе группа отметила 25-летие поднятия трека The Look на первое место в чарте Billboard. Благодаря ему Roxette получили премию «Грэмми» как лучшая группа года. Даже без волны моды на восьмидесятые, которая в последнее время накрыла Европу, такие хиты, как Listen To You Heart, It Must Have Been Love, Sleeping In My Car, сегодня звучат свежо и актуально. Пер Геессле и Мари Фредрикссон достаточно занимались сольными проектами, чтобы накопить опыт для обновленного Roxette. И хотя на концерте в основу программы легли песни прошлых лет (что, несомненно, радует публику), звучание Roxette, без сомнения, изменилось.

Рок как классика

Это не симфонический оркестр, играющий рок-музыку, и не рок-группа, которая исполняла бы классику. Это команда классических музыкантов, в чьем репертуаре исключительно мировые хиты Radiohead, Linkin Park, Rammstein, Muse, Marilyn Manson, Pixies, System of a Down, Red Hot Chili Peppers и многих других. Аранжировка достаточно минималистична для возможностей классических инструментов. Тем не менее, она дает уникальную возможность понять, что формат талантливой музыки не имеет значения. Так, композиции Nirvana вполне могли бы принадлежать Вагнеру, песни Depeche Mode вполне в духе Грига, а знаменитую Let it be мог бы сочинить Моцарт. Музыканты группы Resonance – это преподаватели консерваторий, музыканты филармонии, оперного театра, дома органной и камерной музыки из разных городов Украины.

Перформанс в России: картография истории
Выставка «Перформанс в России: картография истории» посвящена истории российского перформанса с эпохи авангарда до сегодняшнего дня.
Это первое крупное исследование столетней истории и уникальных традиций перформанса в России, от ранних футуристических экспериментов до радикальных акций современности. Проект подчеркивает важную роль российского перформанса в развитии мировой культуры. В рамках выставки «Перформанс в России: картография истории» будут показаны специально созданные реконструкции исторически важных работ. Художник Стас Шурипа представит свою мультипликационную версию футуристической оперы Михаила Матюшина, Алексея Кручёных и Казимира Малевича «Победа над солнцем» (1913). Посетители смогут увидеть реконструкцию знаменитой сценографической установки Любови Поповой для спектакля «Великодушный рогоносец», а также воссозданные по эскизам Варвары Степановой костюмы из спектакля «Смерть Тарелкина» (1922).

Альбом действительно хороший, понравится не только алисоманам. В трек-листе появился хит «Такие дела, хозяин», сделанный очень качественно и современно, а также песня «Музыка» с элементами джаза. Уже в этом есть намек на отход от прямолинейно-брутальной формы, присущей «Алисе» несколько последних лет. В альбоме много потенциальных хитов, но хором в зале будут исполнять песни «Засада» и «Прыг-скок», в которых чувствуется не столько поучительность, сколько ерничество Кинчева молодых лет. Концепция альбома понятна без купюр. Но лирика и удивительная образность смягчают общую подоплеку окружающего нас всех «цирка». В ноябре музыканты отыграют презентационные концерты в двух столицах России. Без сомнения, это будут одни из лучших концертов за последние годы группы.

Rock as classics
Resonance group positions themselves as a rockorchestra. Sooner or later such musical form had to appear. It isn’t a symphonic orchestra playing rock music, nor a rock group performing classics. These are classical musicians, who have in their repertoire only world hits of Radiohead, Linkin Park, Rammstein, Muse, Marilyn Manson, Pixies, System of a Down, Red Hot Chili Peppers and many others. Arrangement is quite minimalistic for the abilities of the classical instruments. But it gives a unique opportunity to understand, that the format of great music doesn’t matter. So, Nirvana’s songs could have been easily written by Wagner, Depeche Mode – by Grieg, and the famous Let it be could have been written by Mozart. Musicians of the Resonance group are the teachers of conservatries, musicians from philharmonics, opera theaters, House of Organ and Chamber Music from different cities in Ukraine. The whole concept isn’t too original, but it is still educational, as rock fans learn to listen to the classical instruments, and classics fans learn new songs. And everybody is happy.
Performance in Russia: Mapping the History

The exhibition entitled ‘Performance in Russia: Mapping the History’ is dedicated to the history of performance in Russia from avant-garde to modern times. It is the first large-scale exploration of a 100year history and unique traditions of performance in Russia, from early futuristic experiments to the most recent radical art events. The project aims to highlight the important role that Russian performance plays in the cultural evolution on a global scale. The exhibition will feature several reconstructions of major performances. Artist Stas Shuripa will present his animation of the futuristic opera by Mikhail Matyushin, Alexey Kruchenykh and Kazimir Malevich ‘Victory over the sun’ (1913). Patrons will see a reconstruction of the famous stage design by Lyubov Popova for the play ‘Le cocu magnifique’, as well as the costumes for ‘The Death of Tarelkin’ play (1922), recreated based on Varvara Stepanova’s designs. 5

Roxette 25 years later
Roxette group went into another world tour, most of which will take place in Russia. Two years ago after their sensational return, the group has performed in 46 countries on six continents before millions of their fans. Their return began with the Charm School album, and then continued with a constant connection to the past. Their next studio album Travelling became a «sequel» for their 1992 album Tourism. And their current world tour is dedicated to the 25-th anniversary of their first big tour Roxette. In August the group celebrated 25 years of their track The Look ascending to the top of the Billboard chart. It was the reason the group got a Grammy as the best group of the year. Even without the wave of passion for the 80-s, that swept the Europe recently, such songs as Listen To You Heart, It Must Have Been Love, Sleeping In My Car still sound fresh and relevant. Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle have dedicated enough time to solo projects to get enough experience for the new Roxette. And even thou the concert is based mainly on the old songs of the group (which fans are quite happy about), the Roxette sound has definitely changed. 3

Croatian cello duo 2Cellos are true virtuosos. Elton John presented them to the Russian public during his last visit. This year they are coming by themselves. Their show isn’t just a concert, but an exiting in all senses event, even thou there is only two people on stage (sometimes they are accompanied by a drummer). But the easy way with which the musicians go in a single composition from classical violin music to a modern guitar one fascinates all those present. Their official video Thunderstruck (variations on the AC/DC and Vivaldi themes) quickly reached and went above 25 000 000 views. Their way to fame began with a video for the cover version on Michael Jackson’s Smooth Criminal. At that time the musicians already won international competitions, and their skill amazed the masters of classical music. When their mutual friend from Croatia offered to record the Jackson’s famous hit, nobody expected the explosive effect. But thanks to that simple idea viewers from around the world now can listen to the great duo. 2Cellos are most likely going to become frequent and welcomed guests in Russia. And their first solo concerts are something you do not want to miss. 2

Kinchev in the Circus
«Alice» presents their new album «Circus». Album is really great, and will be interesting not just for the fans of the group. Track list features the highquality hit «That’s the business, master», as well as «Music» track, which incorporates elements of jazz. There lies a sign of deviation from a direct and brutal form the group tended to for the last couple of years. The album has a lot of potential hits, but the audience will sing along to the «Ambush» and «Hophop», that are full not of wise attitude of Kinchev’s late years, but of his youthful fighting attitude. Concept of the album is immediately obvious, but lyrics and great imagery soften the overall base of the «circus around us». In November musicians will perform the presentational concerts in two capitals of Russia. No doubt, these will be their best concerts in a long time. Обзор подготовила Елена Вишня
