The Freeport, New York Chapter of Dollars for Scholars began in 1988 and gave out its first scholarships at the end of the 1989 school year. Funds raised by are used for Freeport resident student scholarships. This includes students who attend private schools and reside in Freeport. Scholarships are given to students graduating from Atkinson, Dodd Middle School and Freeport High School. We welcome new members and new ideas for raising funds for our students.
