RUAPEHU KIDS Mt Ruapehu offers a full day package for kids (4+) that includes lift passes, lessons, lunch and full care while parents enjoy the upper mountain. Valid for levels 1-4 and is a great chance for kids to improve their snow skills.

GETTING THERE National Park village is closest to Whakapapa ski area and is only a 20 min drive from the village to the ski field. The roads can easily be self-driven and are tarsealed or you can catch a shuttle from Taupo or your Whakapapa hotel for ease and comfort heading up the slopes.

HOT TIP Ruapehu is a busy region during the weekend in winter months from the local North Islanders heading out for a day on the slopes so stay mid-week to enjoy uncrowded laps and more accommodation choices.
