INTRODUCTION The Twenty Four Seven System is a comprehensive PVC-U window and door system.
A decorative fully sculptured 70mm system
This is a high performance system carefully designed to meet the requirements of regional building regulations throughout the UK (including variations for Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland) and for the Republic of Ireland. This decorative system is available internally or externally beaded with dedicated feature beads. The 247 system has been designed on the basis of full integration, utilising common parts, providing the window manufacturer with the benefit of less stock and more market flexibility.

REINFORCING Reinforcing is manufactured predominantly from Hot Dipped Galvanised Steel, Aluminium or RCM (Recycled Composite Material). Reinforcing materials comply with the requirements of BS7412 Specification For Plastic Windows Made From PVC-U Extruded Hollow Profiles. For details on Maximum Profile Spans please refer to the General Technical Information Section . The General guidelines for reinforcing white PVC-U windows: Outer frames: No reinforcement unless otherwise stated. Mullion-Transoms: Reinforce spans 800mm and over Sashes: Reinforce spans 800mm and over, except lock side.

DRAINAGE Windows can be either BASE or FACE drained. In the more common BASE drained the drainage slot is discreetly routed into base of the bottom or cill frame member of the window. Alternatively, the windows can be FACE drained through the outer face of the bottom or cill frame member and discreetly covered with moulded drainage caps (this procedure is common with windows that do not sit on a proprietary PVC-U sill). All internal to external drainage slots should be offset.
WEATHERSEALS All profiles are supplied pre-gasketted with post co-extruded (P.C.E.) seals. Manufactured from high performance dynamic grade Vaycron which conforms to BS7412. Glazing beads are also P.C.E with static grade Vaycron dual fin seals.
HARDWARE All SAFEWARE hardware has been stringently tested and developed to suit all framing systems. Ranges of hardware conforms to BS7412. This manual details the general application of most common types of hardware. Where other applications are required, Swish Window and Door Systems will provide technical assistance.
SECURITY Casement window products have undergone type approval testing to meet the requirements of BS7950: Specification For Enhanced Security Performance of Casement and Tilt/Turn Windows for Domestic Applications. Available from our Technical Department are specific technical manuals detailing the build specification of such window products
