Paintings become three-dimensional to see how Rorschach-inspired composition performs at an architectural scale. Semi-symmetry and the repetition of the irregular to produce a new regular were strong interests.

Semi-symmetry Bi-lateral symmetry is very common in natural compositions. Closer analysis reveals that many beings in the natural environment are made up of partially similar forms that duplicate across different axes.

Due to the unpleasant nature of materials and general design commonly experienced in parking garages, most users simply want to exit as quickly as possible. Simultaneously, parking structures represent a building typology that is becoming increasingly available for sustainable reuse, now and in the future. This project reimagines the possibilities of the parking structure by inserting an adaptable dormitory community.

The pavilion is designed as a programmatic hub for

users attending events at surrounding locations. Expo Charge acts as a recharging destination for electronic and personal resource renewal. The 500 square foot pavilion is articulated through a substructure and clad with a panel system which blends into the natural landscape. On the southern facade, photovoltaic panels collect energy to power the electrical outlets.

Finding shade and connection to the natural landscape can be difficult in the Los Angeles climate. Arbutus Marina is designed to create a connection to natural features on-site, providing a singular space for introspection on the USC campus.

My undergraduate art thesis focuses on the relationship between line and form. Specifically, I am intrigued by how the manipulation of line can influence three-dimensional design. A series of drawings depicts how this relationship affects one’s perception of their surrounding environment, and, in turn, how that perception may change their psychological state. Blending art, psychology, and architecture, this body of work represents both the current and future directions I wish to pursue.

This project visualizes time as a three-dimensional continuum rather than a linear timeline. Processing language was used to control the spatial size, color, and placement in the X, Y, and Z dimensions. Selfreflecting images humanize the artificially created array.

The Works of Art Pavilion is a gas station of the future

where petrol gasoline is no longer needed. Situated at the base of the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, this pop-up pavilion proposes how future charging stations can function and adapt to different sites. The creation of adaptable retail space, informal relaxation areas, and placemaking were strong concepts in this project. As an intern at R&A Architecture + Design, I designed the roof structure and modular boxes that it covers using Grasshopper, Rhinoceros 3d, SketchUp, and Revit.

I first met Mr. Conrad as a guest critic for the final review of one of his graduate school studio finals. His project was among the best of his class and serves as a great example of his talent and work ethic. Mr. Conrad joined our studio for a summer internship from 06/04/2018 – 08/17/2018. As an intern, he was an integral member on several different projects for the firm. Most notably, he worked on a prefabricated container pavilion covered by an innovative bamboo roof structure.
