Farm Animals (All models carry the Beswick backstamp) In order to maintain their reputation for realistic images of animals, authentic in every detail, Beswick designers have literally been 'down on the farm' for inspiration. Modellers have spent days in the field getting to know the subjects of their study in order to produce an accurate model which is a faithful representation of a champion breed. Many of the models actually carry the name of the award winning animal which inspired the artists. This is particularly true of the cattle and pigs which were modelled by Arthur Gredington. Introduced from 1952 onwards these are still very popular today, particularly among farming communities. 79
