Children & Youth
The youth group celebrated Collier County Kindness Week in January with a surprise Zoom visit by Bob Votruba, founder of One Million Acts of Kindness. Bob enlightened us on his mission for the past 13 years as he goes around the county to raise awareness about the importance of being kind, with the belief that it will help remind all of us to be kind all the time - and, this too, is a practice. The youth had a lot of questions to ask Bob ranging from his travels on his bus and his bike, his dog Bogart, and some of the miracles he has experienced first hand on his life’s journey! The Youth Group meets weekly on Wednesdays from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. via Zoom. Our youth group enjoyed some time with Jonathan Stalls, founder of Intrinsic Paths. Jonathan shared with us the story behind his walk across the United States and some of the wisdom from the late Rev. Dr. Howard Thurman.
