The Meherrin River Regional Jail is a state-of-the-art adult detention center. The main facility, located in Alberta, VA, is a 697-bed facility which houses both male and female offenders. The satellite facility, located in Boydton, VA, is an 80-bed facility and also houses both male and female offenders.
