HOME SWEET HOME by Dain Dillingham
Dain Dillingham was a Lawrence kid. He was a was a standout student and athlete at Free State High School. He played college ball at Drake and Baker University. He followed his brother to Washington state and started making wine. Then tragedy struck. While celebrating his 28th birthday in Seattle, Dain fractured his C5 vertebra in a roughly 15-foot fall, leaving him paralyzed with limited use of his hands. Between rigourous physical therapy sessions, Dain has been writing about his new life and experience on his Facebook page and blog. His writing is funny, focused and positive.
