The Christmas market in Gibraltar may be a relatively new addition to the celebrations in this British Overseas Territory, but it’s a great choice of destination if you’re looking for that home away from home feeling. It’s also the ideal place to grab some lastminute presents, as all of the shopping is VAT-free. Coinciding with the opening of the market, the Festival of the Lights, where live music rings out and the decorative lights on John Mackintosh Square are turned on, will take place. The market is open every Wednesday to Sunday and will include plenty of handmade gifts and tasty treats.
