General features of Antalya Finike The Mediterranean Region gets its name from the neighboring sea. The region is inserted in a strip varying between 120 and 180 km, starting from Köyceğiz in the west, to the end of the province of Hatay in the east, near Basit Cape. With a surface area of approximately 120,000 km2 constitute about 15% of the total area of Turkey. A large part of Hatay, Adana, Icel, Antalya, Isparta, Burdur and Kahramanmaraş are in the Mediterranean Region. In addition, Köyceğiz, Dalaman, Ortaca and Fethiye districts of Muğla province enter the Mediterranean Region.

The city of Antalya has been developed rapidly, and the fifth most populous city in the province in parallel, today Turkey due to favorable climatic conditions and tourism events after 1980. Economic life in Antalya is largely based on trade, agriculture and tourism. Finike is a touristic district located in the west of Antalya. It is surrounded by Kumluca in the east, Elmalı in the north, Kaş in the northwest and Demre in the west. The economic structure that dominates in the Finike district and its surroundings is agricultural and the existing trade and industry is based on the agricultural structure. The biggest source of livelihood in the region is vegetables and citrus fruits. In addition, there is a small amount of fishing in the region.


General features of Antalya Finike

Finike has been an important loading and unloading port city throughout the history. Phoenicians, a maritime nation, developed commodities in their own era and became rich by selling the goods they loaded from different ports of Finike and the Mediterranean to other ports. In the course of history, the port of Finike has had stagnant times. In the port, which remained idle for a long time in the Republican period, only fishing boats were housed for many years. In 1966, a new shelter construction was started in order to accommodate fishing boats and yachts in stormy weather and this shelter was completed in 1970. In terms of tourism, it is separated by not disturbing the surrounding districts. However, it has become one of the important tourism points with the intensive construction in the last period. Nevertheless, the tourism investment policy in this region has not been in demand in Finike after the 1980s. Because district lands are more suitable for agriculture. For this reason, the tourism sector has not developed as quickly as other surrounding districts. With its rocky and sandy bottom structure, Finike Bay is home to many Mediterranean fish, marine mammals and sea turtles.

Coral and White Lahos (Sand Gray in the local language) are the fish that the local people and fishermen demand most. Turkish Bath-Sauna facilities built by Finike Municipality in 1993 serve everyone local and foreign. The building, in which the Seljuk and Ottoman architectural motifs are stylized with today's modern style, has the characteristics to live the bath tradition.

Is the part of the bathhouse which is a greenhouse. The greenhouses differentiate in the building. There are double storey greenhouses. The location and the plant species that grow in each greenhouse are different.

Part B Essential oils and fragrances from the bottom row of plants are processed. The fragrances processed here are used in water.

Part C It is located in the front part of the area. It covers the building from the outside in the front part of the building. It is a walking path. There is a transition inside and outside the building.

Part D The area is teeming with nature. A lot of animals live here. There are shades for both the bathers and the people around.

Part E These are the sections on the bottom floor for those who want to bathe only in the bath.These chambers are isolated from everyone and everything.

Part F,G Hot room of the bath has 2 floors. There are collective and group bathing sections on the lower floor. On the upper floor, bathing takes place in a section where aramatheraphic smells are provided with the processed plants.

Part H is the warm section of the bath (ılıklık)
