The Bachelor of Music in conTeMporary, urBan and popular Music (cup) is a performance degree designed to give you the skills you need to succeed as a professional musician. The program focus is on developing a high-level mastery of songwriting, arranging, performing on stage, and recording in the studio. This unique program integrates music training with coursework in music technology and music business, along with many other specialized courses and ensembles geared specifically to the contemporary musician. if you are an instrumentalist, vocalist or singer/songwriter – and are serious about a career in contemporary music – the cup degree is designed for you. APPlicAtioN ANd AdmissioN admission to the cup BM is a competitive process, and the program admits a limited number of students each year. applicants are selected based on the quality of their audition, body of work, and academic record.
