FOOT FACTS by Dr. Eric Tepper BOARD CERTIFIED PODIATRIST, ACCPPS LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
Foot rashes can manifest themselves in a number of locations on the foot. Some appear on the heels or toes while other variations may be present on the bottoms or tops of the feet. Rashes that affect the entire foot may be chronic. Whether they are an allergic reaction (contact dermatitis) or the result of a fungal infection such as athlete’s foot or psoriasis, rashes can be caused by a myriad of issues. Infection, injury, side effects of medications, and even emotional stress can trigger foot rashes. Generally, podiatrists recommend a topical steroid or medicated lotion to address the rashes, depending on the type. If you notice that you have a foot rash, see your podiatrist immediately. Do you have a foot rash? Our goal is to create a welcoming environment for our patients where they are informed decision makers, understanding each aspect of all options and the appropriate procedures. Feet are vulnerable and prone to complaints, but most problems don’t just disappear on their own. We can treat them effectively with medication, surgery, or other, less invasive procedures such as exercise. Don’t take your feet for granted. Call us at 281-980-3668. We’re located at 3143 Hwy. 6 South. Don't take your feet for granted - call us for an appointment. Make your next step a comfortable one - call us for an appointment. HINT: Some rashes develop under the toenails.
