school year, all Academy bus stops will be located at a Fort Bend ISD elementary school near the Academy students’ homes. Academy bus stop times will be before and after elementary arrival and dismissal times. Also under the revised plan, afternoon high school Academy bus routes will depart approximately 45 minutes after regular dismissal time. This will allow the high school Academy students to attend tutorials and other activities, while after-school traffic clears at elementary schools. Academy parents will have the opportunity to choose an elementary school location during the registration process. Parents and students will, however, be responsible for their own transportation to and from the bus stop each morning and afternoon. Finalized routes and times will be established and communicated in early August. For more information, visit the Academy webpage at www.fortbendisd.com.

Home invasion in Falcon Landing By LeaAnne Klentzman

The residents of a home in the 23500 block of Tayman Park Lane in the Falcon Landing subdivision got a jarring wake up early Thursday morning. According to Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Haenel, at 3:52 Thursday morning January 16, deputies were called to the home after a reported home invasion robbery. Haenel said the intruders were described as four black males wearing mostly darkcolored clothing wielding hand guns and a rifle as they crashed in to the home. Haenel said the responding deputies set up a perimeter, searched the area but were not successful in finding the intruders. Haenel said, “An undetermined amount of cash was taken during the incident.” At press time more questions than answers linger around this incident. Haenel said the case remains under investigation. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000.
