Congratulations to Clements High School senior Kevin Pham for earning his Eagle Scout rank. Kevin is a member of Troop 1631, and to achieve this rank, he served in many leadership positions and earned 33 merit badges. For his Eagle project, Kevin built two benches for the entrance at Settlers Way Elementary, totaling 248 man-hours with the help of 20 volunteers.

Fort Settlement Middle School recently hosted a Career Day for 8th grade students. Students interacted with local professionals and visited displays during a Career Fair. Winners of the Most Professional Student Award were Shelby Clingman, Suvedh Srikanth, Chelsea Godfrey, Keith Saylin, Bianca Navisa, Bardia GhasenLon-Damavandi, Abigail Fjord, and Ahmad Bourkhis. These students were determined to be the most inquisitive, respectful and interested while navigating the fair. Sugar Land Mayor James A. Thompson meet with leaders of the Clements High School NJROTC/ NNDCC Unit. Justin Allsopp and Chad DeCuir met with the Mayor to extend an invitation in person to the Unit’s upcoming Annual Military Ball and share some very good news: for the second year in a row, the Unit has qualified for the State Drill Competition at Texas A&M University. Congratulations to the 12 First Colony Swim Team members who competed at the Austin Grand Prix meet on January 12th15th. Senior Daniel Graviss achieved his first Olympic Trials time with a 7th place finish in the 1500 Free.
