ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF EMPLOYER RELATIONS Nicole leads the employer relations team, as well as the strategy for best practices for employer development and programming. She focuses on building relationships with employers in the technology and healthcare industries. Nicole oversees our Signature Partner Program and works with employers on sponsorship opportunities. CAREER SERVICES IS VIRTUAL VIRTUAL INTERVIEW SUPPORT Create a Virtual Event We are pleased to offer virtual interview scheduling and day-of support for all employers free of charge. Simply request interviews via the interview tab in Handshake and specify VIRTUAL in the description. We will be in touch to coordinate logistics based on your company's specific needs.

VIRTUAL CAREER CHATS Virtual Career Chats give students the opportunity to learn from employers about career paths in a variety of industries. Also, for you to get to know students for more informal, targeted conversations. These chats will provide our students the opportunity to network with employers in a casual setting. This is a great forum to share more about your company's culture, talk about your experiences as a member of your company and discuss the day to day duties of your open opportunities. Virtual Career Chats can vary in format, from one-on-one,to group round table discussions based on your preference. All Career Chats will take place on zoom.

VIRTUAL INFORMATION SESSIONS Create a Virtual Event Host a virtual information session using Zoom, Google Meets or another platform of your choice. We will help you organize, create, promote, and facilitate. Virtual Information sessions provide students with an overview of your recruitment processes, programs, and company structure; we find that successful presentations have a learning component. Students are looking for ways to apply their coursework to real scenarios and are more likely to attend an event where they learn a marketable skill about a particular industry. In order to request a virtual information session, please log into Handshake and complete a “new event” request. Once completed, you will be contacted by our Employer Relations Specialist to discuss your event in more detail in order for it to be added to our events calendar and marketed to our student body.

DATE: SEPTEMBER 9, 2021 TIME: 12 PM-3 PM The Accounting & Finance Career is tailored specifically for students interested in working in accounting and financial services, strategically timed to align with the beginning of the recruiting cycle. We bring together a select group of employers to meet with business-minded Fordham students, many of whom are studying finance, economics, mathematics, accounting, international political economy, data analytics and more! This targeted event is for students interested in working in technology, cybersecurity, information systems, engineering and computer science. We bring together an exclusive group of employers to meet with Fordham students in programs such as Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics/Physics Engineering, Cybersecurity, and more! These programs provide students with skills and hands-on experience in systems analysis, database management, web programming, computing, business analytics, computer algorithms and software development. Fordham’s rigorous education and world class core curriculum prepares students to launch careers using technology to solve business problems. Our nationally and internationally known faculty teach coursework including Web Applications Design and Development, Global IT Strategy and Management, Business Applications Development, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Security Systems, etc. In addition to their coursework, students learn technical skills including but not limited to Python, C and C++, data mining, big data visualization techniques and more.

DATE: FEBRUARY 3, 2022 TIME: 3 PM-6 PM The Spring Career Fair The Spring Career Fair is our largest career fair of the year. This all-industry career fair will expose you to a large volume of students of all grade levels and majors, such as STEM, business and finance, liberal arts, etc. You will also have the opportunity to network with a vast number of entrepreneurialminded student groups, leaders, and athletes. This event is a great way to increase your brand awareness on campus, build relationships with our students and promote your company’s offerings. Fordham’s core curriculum equips students to think on their feet, analyze and synthesize information, make logical decisions for the good of a company, institution, or community, articulate their point of view, and adapt to changing circumstances.

Fordham’s unique position within New York City, home to some of the world’s best news and entertainment companies, art galleries, and advertising agencies gives Fordham students access to world-class faculty and cultural experiences that inspire and ignite their passions. This intimate, invite-only opportunity brings together students and employers for networking, recruiting, and career conversations. TARGETED NETWORKING EVENTS

Meet promising Fordham candidates from diverse professional and academic backgrounds who are interested in global and domestic public health practice, management, policy, and research. This invite-only Healthcare Networking event will be open to undergraduate and graduate students who are seeking job, internship, shadowing hours and fellowship opportunities, many of whom have gone on to work at major healthcare organizations such as Memorial Sloan Kettering, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, and many others.

This invitation-only networking event provides a variety of opportunities for industry leaders in the real estate field to meet with students and facilitate meaningful professional interactions. The students attending will be seeking fulltime & part-time employment, internships and volunteer roles and hoping to pursue careers at some of New York’s most prominent real estate organizations such as JLL, Cushman and Wakefield and others.

The invite-only Psychology and Sociology Networking Event at Fordham is an excellent opportunity for employers to meet both students and alumni interested in pursuing careers as clinical and neuro psychologists, therapists, counselors, social researchers, and others, as well as increase company visibility and branding on campus. All jobs posted on Handshake are manually approved by Career Services staff. Postings will take 24 -48 hours to be approved, and must adhere to the following criteria in order to meet approval: 1. All registrations must be linked to a contact with a company-sponsored email address. No generic email addresses (gmail, hotmail, yahoo, etc.) will be accepted. 2. All registrations must be linked to a working website. No registrations will be approved if the website is under construction, or if the website is a “Page” of a LinkedIn or Facebook group. 3. Companies interested in recruiting Fordham students must follow the spirit of Fordham’s Jesuit mission. Companies attempting to recruit students for positions in contradiction with the Catholic tradition will be banned. 4. No postings for positions within a person’s home will be allowed. In-house babysitting, tutoring, housekeeping, or other work will not be approved. 5. No postings which require students to pay any sort of fee will be approved. 6. Internship compensation must meet the U.S. Department of Labor standards. Internships for academic credit are determined on a case-by-case basis between the student and their academic dean. Utilizing virtual on-campus Recruiting (OCR) and virtual on-campus interviews is a great option for employers planning on interviewing more than just a few Fordham students for a full-time position or internship program. In order to request an OCR date, log in to Handshake and choose “Create New on-campus Interview Schedule” from the Shortcuts menu on the right. Please contact Lindsey Worker (Lworker@fordham.edu) for more information and questions about virtual OCR.

EMPLOYMENT OFFERS &ACCEPTANCE POLICY Virtual On-campus interviews are designed to give employers the opportunity to interview a large number of Fordham candidates conveniently and virtually all in one day. We handle the logistics so that you can focus on the students. Virtual On-campus interviews begin at 9:30AM with last interviews ending at 4:30PM. We are happy to accommodate early start time and late interviews upon request to our Signature Partners. Partners should send their requests for early start/late finish at least 2 weeks before the scheduled interview day. You can request your OCR dates by logging in to Handshake and choosing “Interviews” from the Shortcuts menu on the right. In order to give students sufficient time to complete their searches, we ask employers to abide by the following offer schedule for the 2021-2022 academic year. Employers must honor all offers extended. No conditions should be placed on these offers. Exploding offers and special incentives such as diminishing bonuses and location preference should not be offered in exchange for early offer acceptance, as pressure on students to accept early makes it difficult for us to enforce our policies against students reneging on job offers.
