Metabo’s SDS-Max MHE 5 Chipping Hammer was designed for scaling, tile and mastic removal, chiseling, demolition and breakthrough applications. The hammer features active vibration reduction and a lock-on switch for increased ergonomic and comfortable operation.
The MHE 5 has a maximum impact rate of 3,000 bpm with 7.1 joules and 9.6 amps. The chipping hammer features vario-constamatic (VC) full-wave electronics, which maintains the number of blows under load for fast chiseling. The VC electronics also allows the operator to control the impact rate and energy for chisel placement or to protect adjacent materials from damage (such as when a damaged tile requires removal for replacement).
