ROLE DESCRIPTION
Specific responsibilities
Specifically, Panel Members must:
○ Identify and promote good practice in relation to project development, with advice and guidance provided by the Foundation Executive.
○ Apply their own experience, expertise, and knowledge to support the work of the Panel.
○ Update the Board, as required, regarding the work of the Panel to facilitate and support the Board and general governance process.
○ Be satisfied that Foundation investment will achieve required outcomes, depending upon the specific theme(s) it hopes to address.
○ Do everything possible to ensure that Foundation investment avoids duplication and always represents best value.
○ Ensure that sustainability and legacy issues have been addressed and that projects clearly identify exit routes and pathways for participants, both in a playing capacity and increasing participation generally.
○ Refer any concerns or issues to the Panel Chair in the first instance.
Other Activity
In addition, Panel Members are asked to:
○ Respond to reasonable requests that would help ensure the smooth running and efficiency of the Panel.
○ Represent the Foundation at launches and events, where appropriate.
○ Carry out duties and responsibilities in compliance with Football Foundation policies.
○ Promote the positive work of the Panel specifically and the Foundation generally.
