set the mark in Louisville for exceptional artisan breads when they opened Blue Dog Bakery & Café nearly 20 years ago. Today, their Red Hog Artisan Meat on Frankfort Avenue, which opened in September 2016, is repeating those principles, not only to serve excellent meats but to also hopefully build a network of farmers across Kentucky who also believe humane husbandry produces the best possible pastured pork, beef, lamb and chicken.
