Held Meetings in FGS Auckland

Empowering Their Body & Mind

Snr Const Green felt grateful as Temple provided a tranquil spot for their workshop, which inspired their minds. The speaker, Sandra Dacey, is the Programme Delivery Lead of Students Against Dangerous Driving (SADD), a student-led organisation promoting safer driving of 37 years history. She guided the SCO in delivering the message of road safety to teenagers. According to Dacey, she was one of the horse riders to the Temple during the 75th Anniversary of Women in Policing in 2016. She felt touched when she saw the memorable horse-riding photo of herself in the FGS NZ 10th Anniversary Report.

On 23rd June and 19 th August 2022, a total of 12 School Community Officers (SCO) attended a training workshop at FGS Auckland on teenage drinking and driving incidents, and road safety. Meanwhile, Abbess Manshin appreciated the commitment of SCO, who supported the 3G4G Festival of Cultural Sharing education program in the past 8 years, especially Senior Constable Matt Green who has been involved for the last five years consecutively. In addition, the SCO worked together with the Temple Team to deliver 15,000 RAT Kits to 97 local schools in New Zealand within four days in March 2022. The delivery process was sped up as they familiarised themselves with the locations and easier access of school, while acquiring the contacts of school principals for a more efficient operation.

Snr Const Marina, who got to know Temple through 3G4G, shared that the Temple has always given others joy and was pleased to work with the team. She appreciated the Temple for providing hot drinks and tasty refreshments to keep everyone warm in the chilly weather. Constable Angelique expressed that everyone needed a space of tranquility and calmness, as FGS Auckland is a place where the body and mind can be at a state of peacefulness, and she will be returning with her family to experience the Temple’s positive vibe again.
