St Thomas Catholic Boys High School Visited FGS Christchurch
On 20 th September 2022, there were 80 students from St Thomas Catholic Boys High School Christchurch who visited FGS Christchurch for a Multi Religious Cultural Exchange Trip. The group was led by 6 teachers and they were well received by the FGS NZ Abbess Manshin, Minister in Charge of FGS Christchurch Venerable Juexi and members of Buddha’s Light International Association.
All teachers and students enjoyed the activities as they learned about different cultures and learned the values of Three Acts of Goodness and Four Givings. The school's Director of Religious Studies Department Stephen Kennedy shared that the visit brought students a great deal of insight into the beauty of religious harmony, which will have a significant impact on their future lives. Moreover, a Maori student Kaya Wiparata, shared about the Four Giving values that inspired and motivated him with confidence to apply them in daily life.
