i Kathy. You are a creative woman with a passion for photography and also fan art! Let's start with photography ... You have a growing Instagram following of over 1,300, simply by capturing our region in its natural beauty. What inspired you to start sharing your morning walks with the world? New Year's Day 2013 ... I made a resolution to get up every day ... walk to the beach and watch the sunrise! I just happened to get my first iPhone at that time, so I started to take some snaps along my walks and shared them on Instagram! 4,380 photos later, I am still enjoying sharing beautiful Port Macquarie with the world! I feel so lucky to live in such a wonderful place and am proud to call myself a local. I arrived here in 1975, married a local lad, Stephen, and we have two lovely boys, Jesse and Hudson. your photos? My favourite props are broken seashells I find nearly every day on the beach. I set them up and shoot the sunrise through them ... I have a hashtag #mysunriseseashell on Instagram. I also love to use the sea glass I find, and sometimes I bring along a seashell from my ever growing collection! Where's your "secret spot"? My secret spot would be Oxley Beach ... Lots of little nooks and crannies and my favourite, Bird Rock! Now, what is "The Dirty Oven" and how did it all begin? Things taste better out of a Dirty Oven ... lol ... The Dirty Oven launched Dec 2014. It showcases my Mini Celeb Chefs (Marco, Heston, Gordon etc.) It's all about food art. Custom one-of-a-kind toys - fan art and urban art toys. Pizza Man, Donut Man, Bacon, Mac & Cheese - the list goes on! I've made lots! Santa Cruz featured my Screaming Donut in their show ... It sold on opening night! I've worked on many Johnny Cupcakes Vinyl Toys and featured in the first ed of his newly launched magazine! The Johnny Cupcakes Big
Kids are really my favourite things to customise! why/? My customised Big Kids were also included in Mini Chefs ... I love to customise Funko the Johnny Cupcakes Pop Up Shop in Sydney, Pops and turn them into little celebrity chefs. when he came to visit in 2013. I made a special Heston Blumenthal was the first one I made, Big Kid and gave it to Johnny ... He loved it. then Marco Pierre White, Adriano Zumbo, I made Jason Alexander (George Gordon Ramsay and Colin Fassnidge. Costanza) fan art and he loved I love bringing food to life, like him ...
