HOLIDAY VIBES

Long awaited summer days are fi nally here – hooray! The holiday vibe is strong, as I write many of us are geared up fi nally for a trip away from our usual place of residence.

It’s a thrilling prospect, packing suitcases, anticipating reunions with friends and family that have been delayed, cancelled and delayed again for so long…

Planning itineraries, getting on the highway, or even in an aircraft – we’re rusty as can be at all this travel stuff.

Hopefully it will be just like riding a bike, and our holiday modes will just kick in automatically. Once again, we’ll be fancy free, without a care in the world. Spontaneity will be the buzzword of our vacay – good times, adventures, pool time and, most of all, the kind of memories one can only create whilst in holiday mode will abound and we’ll arrive back home relaxed, refreshed and with a fresh new appreciation of our regular daily routine.

Best case scenario – yes. A healthy dose of pre-holiday optimism aka the grass is always greener is our default state when we plan and book a holiday in general.

Expectations are high and of course – why wouldn’t they be? After all that is precisely why we dream about cocktails by the pool on our next holiday whilst we navigate a particularly stressful week at work.

We can almost taste it, and by the time the suitcases are packed and the car is loaded the excitement and anticipation is almost at fever pitch…This sojourn is going to be equal parts R&R, adventure, sun, sea, sand, delicious morsels and pina coladas poolside. Isn’t it?

The holidays of 2021-22 can and will be full of amazing memories and precious times, but it might be somewhat prudent to make a suggestion to go somewhat gently into this brave new world.

A bit of patience and a reassuring smile goes a long way and helps businesses get back on their feet. It’s been a long road to get back to doing what we do best in its natural format and we’re gearing up to hit our stride and get back in the ‘zone’.

We are so very excited and full of joy at the prospect of welcoming long awaited new and returning guests. Dining out never felt so good and we, just as much as you, become energised by a buzzing, full restaurant and vibe of celebration. Certainly if there’s one thing the past couple of years has taught us, it’s to take every opportunity to enjoy the things we love, whenever we can. Cheers to that!

Wishing you a beautiful and relaxing summer holiday. May it be one with pina coladas (or whatever’s your tipple) by the pool in abundance.
