If you need help with a civil construction project, it’s important to use contractors who have experience in the trade. Steve and Karen have owned and operated Kazac Civil for 25 years; we caught up with them to find out a bit more about their business and meet some of their employees.

ongratulations on 25 years in business; this is such a great achievement. How did it all start for Kazac 25 years ago? From humble beginnings, Kazac Civil Pty Ltd (previously Steve’s Excavations & Haulage Pty Ltd) was formed in 1991 by Steve Cusato with two tip trucks, two employees and a traxcavator. The company mainly concentrated on small excavation and landfill projects. Steve built the business up over the next 10 - 15 years; however,

it wasn’t until he was given the opportunity to develop a small subdivision in Port Macquarie, that he found his passion and ability to build quality subdivisions in the Hastings municipality. In 2005-6 Steve successfully tendered and won the project to build the subdivision, Braeroy Estate (next to St Columba Anglican School). Seven stages later, and Steve had secured the business as a successful and reputable Civil Construction Company on the Mid North Coast.
