This year the Australian Furniture Removals Association, otherwise known as AFRA, held their 23rd Annual Conference on Thursday 20th August to Saturday 22nd August 2015. AFRA is the official body of removals experts that helps regulate the removals industry. AFRA is consulted by Government departments before they make decisions about the industry and only accredits the furniture removalists that have all necessary equipment, vehicles, premises and staff training needed to complete a professional move. As an AFRA member, every furniture removals company has a set of minimum standards to meet in all aspects of their business. At present there are approximately 350 furniture removal and associated companies that are members of AFRA. These range in size from small one truck owner operated companies to large multi-national companies with many branches both in Australia and overseas. The AFRA membership covers virtually every region of
Australia and New Zealand. The National Fleet of the Year award is assessed on the basis of those companies meeting and exceeding those standards as far as not only fleet appearance and representing AFRA on the road, but also safety records, team training, reduced insurance claims, fleet maintenance records, reliability and risk management procedures employed. How prestigious is the award, and what does it mean for your business? Winning the Prestigious AFRA Removal Fleet of the Year Award for 2015 has been a great recognition of our achievements in continuously providing a professional service within the removals industry. All vehicles in our fleet are equipped with a resource pack that consists of the necessary information in case of an emergency, spare documents, first aid kit etc. We take great pride in the image of our company and adhere to the AFRA standards. above your competitors? Coffs Harbour Relocations and Storage have five generations of experience in the removals industry. Operating under their own name for just six years, they have a small but efficient fleet of immaculately kept vehicles. The entire fleet is uniformly sign written displaying our fresh and inviting logo to maximise advertising coverage on our mobile billboards. Our fleet consists of various size trucks, ranging from 18 cbm - 54 cbm and one Caddy Van, the newest of the bunch being used for carton delivery, pre-pack prior to relocation, conducting of pre-removal surveys and is our zippy little advertising machine.
