Get involved and make a difference
A word from the honorary co-presidents Dr Félix-André Têtu, plastic surgeon Jean-Yves Germain, co-president, Groupe Germain Hôtels
The fundraising event A Summer Evening in Charlevoix is a unique opportunity to join our networks, our strengths, and our love of arts and history for the benefit of two institutions that are dear to us: the Musée de Charlevoix and the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec. These two institutions mark our experiences, enrich our daily lives and allow our heritage to shine throughout the Charlevoix region and the province of Québec. To support these museums as much as possible and participate in the growth of our collective cultural wealth, we have prepared an auction for you with a great diversity of exceptional lots.
All profits collected during the auction will be used to fund the projects of our institutions: be generous and make a difference with us! Thank you for attending this event. Let the auctions begin! 3
Uniting our forces to propel our museums
A word from Sylvain Gendreau, general manager, Musée de Charlevoix Emilie L.Cayer, president and CEO, Fondation du Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec
A fundraising event is the sum of the generosity of multiple actors. First of all, exceptional honorary presidents who take on the role of ambassadors and allow the event to take off. Then, committed guests who are present and actively participate in the success of the evening. Also, the employees and volunteers who give this moment all its colors. You are all part of this essential ecosystem and we thank you. Finally, we need partners to make this event possible. We would like to thank our sponsors for their commitment: Loto-Québec, with Mr. Éric Meunier, Desjardins with Mr. Mathieu Talbot, Banque Nationale with the support of Mr. Vincent Landry, HSBC with the support of Mr. Alain Desrochers and BMO thanks to Mr. René Douville. 4
We should also mention the sponsorships in goods and services: the Casino de Charlevoix, Menaud, Groupe Germain Hôtels, Pain d'exclamation!, Cidrerie Pedneault, Ciné dans l'pré, SAQ, as well as Ville de La Malbaie. The auction is a way to maximize the amounts raised during this evening and to allow you to get your hands on unique lots, witnesses of our history, lasting memories, for the benefit of the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec and the Musée de Charlevoix. We thank all the companies and individuals who donated lots for this auction. This evening is ours: together, let's support our museums!

region, in France. Extending over 92 complement your chef's meal and enrich your wine cellar. This collector's bottle is generously donated by Grant Hamilton, member of the Board of the Musée de Charlevoix, in support of the Museum's activities. It should be noted that this extremely rare wine is only marketed after 8 to 10 years from its creation. Latour wine is an example of regularity regardless of the quality of the vintage. Firm, tannic and concentrated in its youth, it requires long aging to reveal all its depth, power and extraordinary richness. At perfect maturity, the wine stands out with an incredible bouquet of blackcurrant, hazelnut and leather. Simply a monumental wine.

PRESTIGIOUS WINES LOT 02 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, 1995. Domaine Bonneau du Martray The vineyards of Domaine Bonneau du Martray are located in the heart of the Charlemagne plot, facing south on the side
Market value: $500 Starting price: $500
of the Corton mountain. They always produce the most balanced wines in the appellation. Jean-Charles Le Bault de la Morinière, who has been directing the estate's destiny since the mid-1990s, has a very special attachment to Quebec and the region of the national capital, as he is the proud descendant of the Chevalier de Lévis. His wines have a well-deserved reputation and the 1995 vintage is now mature, with a beautiful roundness while retaining a good hint of freshness. To be taken with fish in sauce, white meat, or a good cheese. This wine is both crisp and powerful. The sweet citrus and peach aromas as well as the fine floral notes evolve nicely towards honeysuckle, hazelnut and cinnamon on the palate.

PRESTIGIOUS WINES LOT 03 Gevrey-Chambertin, 1er Cru Lavaux-StJacques 1995. Domaine Bernard Dugat-Py Market value: $650 Starting price: $650
The wines of Domaine Bernard Dugat-Py have a very long aging. Very straight and firm when young, they need at least 20 years before they start to open up. The 1995 vintage does not betray this constancy and it is just beginning to reveal itself. The wines of the estate are produced in very limited quantities and they are the subject of intense desire among connoisseurs. It's a privilege to be able to taste them while being aware that this opportunity is not given to everyone. This grape variety, made up of 100% Pinot Noir, has a ruby-coloured robe. In order to fully benefit from its potential, it is recommended to decant it half an hour before tasting. It will go wonderfully with white or red flesh meats. This is a rare bottle, both in terms of the quantity produced and its quality.
