Kosovo (historically Dardania, officially the Republic of Kosovo) is an independent state in Southeast Europe. Prishtina The Capital of Kosovo Prishtina stands out as a city of nightlife, cafes and various restaurants where you can enjoy food and macchiato that will long remain in your memory. The Big Mosque was built in 1460-1461 by Sultan Mehmed II al-Fatih (as evidenced by the carving of the wall above the main door of the mosque [1]), just eight years after the fall of Constantinople. It is located in the heart of the old town center, and is the largest and most prominent mosque in Prishtina. Its dome was once the largest in the region, while today it is the only mosque built by Sultan Mehmed II that still survives in these areas. The square in front of the King Mosque has always been a well-known meeting place. The Gracanica Monastery is located on the left bank of the Gracanka River, south of Prishtina. It was built by the Serbian king Milutin in 1321. Today's monastery is a reconstruction of a church of the century. The castle of Prizren under its current walls preserves cultural prehistoric, Roman and Late Antiquity cultural layers, which suggests that it is about 2000 years old. The castle now retains the massive walls and various living quarters belonging to later stages such as the medieval, Ottoman. The Sinan Pasha Mosque was built in 1615 by Sinan Pasha. The interior of the mosque is a unique space, with a dome painted with floral and geometric motifs in three phases. The first two phases of the murals are from the 15th century. Bear Sanctuary Prishtina Bears are loving and friendly to humans.

BEAR SANCTUARY Prishtina is located 20 kilometres from the capital of Kosovo near the village of Mramor.

The land allocated for the sanctuary by the Municipality of Prishtina covers an area of 16 hectares. Currently, approx. 10 hectares have been developed and provide a near-natural habitat and lifelong home to 19 brown bears formerly kept as restaurant bears in Kosovo and Albania. Three of the bears, now living here, were bought when they were only a few weeks old and kept illegally as pets by Kosovan families

They were discovered and confiscated by the Kosovan police and transferred to BEAR SANCTUARY Prishtina in spring 2014. Here, the bears have the chance to live under professional supervision and in an environment suited to their species
