We’ve been building - Flowty led the development of Account Linking, which went live on mainnet on August 9th. Flovatar hit several significant milestones in August, including surpassing $500K in $FLOW sales and $600K in $DUST burned. Sportvatar, powered by Flovatar, set their public pack sale date for September 12. With the NFL season upon us, NFL All Day announced a new way to collect: Dynamic Moments.

Cryptoys announced the arrival of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Pluto to the Cryptoyverse. More details to follow with a drop anticipated in September.

Formula E: High Voltage, an officially licensed Formula E simulator game from Animoca Brands is coming to the Flow

Blockchain.

FlowDiverIO, a blockchain explorer, launched as a new way to dive into the Flow Blockchain, with datasets spanning back to October 2020. Metaverse Football (MFL) had several development updates, including trait impact changes for Defense, Physical, Pace, and more. Flovatar’s visual podcast, A Dust Odyssey, returned with their 11th episode titled “Da Vinci Coder.”

After months of work, ThePlayerLounge upgraded their platform to include exclusive content, leaderboards, community forums, and more.

Driverz launched a testing phase for their $VROOM token. Driverz holders can begin staking automatically once their account is set up and their wallet is initialized.

The Flow to the Future Hackathon winners were announced in a special awards ceremony, with Artwalk, Wondermon, SWIRL, Flowcosmos, Flownet AI, and ZUNI taking the top prize in their respective tracks. There were more than 7,000 registrants for this Hackathon.

Roham dropped into Twitter / X with some big time NBA Top Shot teasers, showcasing the newest “Instant Buy” feature on the platform and teasing a pack marketplace.

The power of Cadence, Flow Blockchain’s language, was on full display at the release of NFL All Day Dynamic moments. Jacob Tucker, Founder of Emerald DAO, dove into how Cadence made these moments possible in his latest brilliant thread.

Packed Summer of Releases for NFL All Day

Flovatar

Flovatar Hits Major Milestones

A big congrats to our friends at Flovatar. Not only did they resume their visual podcast, A Dust Odyssey (more info on PAGE 6), but they hit some epic milestones in sales volume and $DUST burning, thanks in part to their Psychee Likee release.

Flovatar surpassed $500K in $FLOW sales, and 600K in $DUST burned. As a reminder, Flovatar owners can claim $DUST on a daily basis; the amount of $DUST claimed varies on number of Flovatars held, and level of Rarity.

Users were able to purchase packs that contained either Rare or Legendary Dynamic Moments from September 5September 7, just in

time for Week 1 Thursday Night Football kickoff. These moments earn “Evolution Points” (varying for Rare and Legendary) that recognize team wins as well as various player performance thresholds (i.e. 75 rushing or receiving yards, 250 passing yards, interception, etc).

Thus far, the response to this release has been electric, with the initial social media release garnering 133K+ views. We’ll be following up with this next edition once we see these moments evolve.

NFL All Day has really driven up the score with some of their releases and announcements this summer, none more notable than the Series 3 Dynamic Player Moments: moments that, per NFL All Day, “evolve based on player and team performance.” The collectibles will feature new highlights for each dynamic player moment as the season goes on, a feature made possible by Cadence on Flow Blockchain. Animoca Brands, a powerhouse in the world of gaming and digital property rights, is bringing Formula E to the Flow Blockchain with their game, Formula E: High Voltage (FEHV). Flow Blockchain and FEHV held a joint Twitter spaces Thursday, September 7th to cover various topics including operations, what users can expect, origins of the game, future goals, and more. A throwback to racing arcade games, FEHV looks to be something that even the most casual of racing fans will want to be a part of.

Not to be outdone by NFL All Day’s summer work in preparation for the 2023 NFL season, Own The Moment released not one, not two, but three major updates to their platform:

Rumble Legends

The highly anticipated return of The Owner’s Club, now an off-chain game (2021’s TOC was on Polygon). Included in The Owner’s Club release was an initiative for holders of original TOC cards. Users could trade in five of these OG cards for a Buy 1 Get 1 Free special on new TOC packs. As of September 1st, over 3,000 packs of TOC had been purchased, with $14,000 in prizes up for grabs in Week 1.

For those uninitiated, Own The Moment now operates using their platform’s native GOLD token, which can be used to purchase packs and enter contests.

Elsewhere on OTM, users can use their NFL All Day moments to compete in Rumble Legends, with each week’s top-50 finishers receiving a Golden Ticket. Along with this Golden Ticket comes a prize of 100 GOLD and immediate entry into the Rumble Legends finals, a three-week tournament held in Weeks 15, 16, and 17 of the NFL season.

Finally, OTM sweetened the pot even more, announcing a trip to Las Vegas during the NFL season for three winners: 1) TOC Final Winner, 2) TOC Champions Final Winner, and 3) Rumble Legends Final Winner.

Flow Blockchain really does attract the biggest brands. Cryptoys recently announced that Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Pluto will be the latest additions to the Cryptoyverse. Fresh off a wildly successful Star Wars Cryptoys campaign, getting the IP rights to arguably the most famous cartoon character in history cannot be understated. More details are sure to come, with a drop date sometime in September. Additionally, Cryptoys is holding a 20-Toy Pack and 5-Toy Pack prizes in their sweepstakes.

$VROOM Token is Live for Driverz Holders

Driverz, which has been gaining some steam and publicity with professional racers, launched their $VROOM token. Holders of Driverz can go to their garage and begin staking, with rewards still to be determined. Driverz also held a major giveaway to wrap up August, with prizes of a Ledger Nano X, three Car Club Tires, and five Driverz Genesis. August was also a big month for Driverz Racing League.

This blend of comic book style and podcasting truly offers an enriched storytelling. Not all of Flovatar’s episodes come with still frames throughout–some opt for simply displaying which characters are talking–so the user can still listen in traditional podcast form without losing story cues. But for those who yearn for the nostalgia of printed comics or graphic novels, this visual podcast bridges the gap between the material past and the digital future. Even Homer would be proud.

We are most proud of the season tickets (including playoffs!) that we’ve been able to provide for the Grizzlies fans on Top Shot. The Grizzlies have become an incredibly popular ticket with their young core and had zero lower level tickets for sale when we initially inquired. Fortunately, floor seats on the baseline came available and we jumped at the opportunity. The community response was so positive—collectors from 10 states came in for GrzGng seats—we saved a large chunk of the budget to double down for the ‘23-24 season and will be sending out 81 pairs of premium tickets to Grizz fans this year!
