ST PETER’S COLLEGE 2017

7 0 0 2 F O CLASSYEAR REUNION 10

There is something magical about the year 2007. I was a little nervous seeing all my old school friends after 10 years and yet when I spoke to them it was as if we were never apart. Being the smallest Grade 8 year in 2002 we definitely made our mark on the school when we left in 2007. Initially unsure about how the teachers would respond to our return and how we will all feel seeing each other again, but I can truly say it was a great reunion for us all!

The MADD Centre proudly being shown off by Mr Botha, took everyone’s breath away and most of the Old Petrians said they were so impressed but jealous that we didn’t get to experience these facilities all those years ago. The magic was how we all sat chatting for hours catching up about everyone’s life and meeting all the little babies in the 2007 grade. I got goose bumps when the Shabba team started singing old school war cries under their tree, so loudly it was echoing through the corridors. Visiting the school again and seeing all these great people made me so proud to be an Old Petrian and I wish the sun stayed up a little longer so we could have stayed a little longer.

OLD PETRIANS Alumni SOCIETY

The Old Petrians were all taken back by the growth of the school and the progress the College has made. Standing on the Matric Lawn chatting to Mr Morais about how we always took long bathroom breaks because the school only had one bathroom (they now have plenty more) made us all reminisce about our times we had on the lawn. I truly loved hearing all the funny stories everyone had to share and how we stuck together as a grade.
