ENCHANTED FOREST CAMPGROUND

Every wanted to go on a relaxing family getaway? A magical getaway? A romantic getaway? Well, do I have a place for you! Nestled in the Nantahala’s National Forest (largest in the state of North Carolina) is the ENCHANTED FOREST CAMPGROUND. It is the MAGICAL MOUNTAIN RESORT which is 10 miles outside of Hayesville, North Carolina. Leave the life of your everyday hustle, bustle and stress behind. Come visit where you can find some of the world’s most beloved fairytales. Snow Whites Red Queens cottage, Alice in Wonderland’s White Bunny Cottage, for Harry Potter Fans there is the double decker Midnight Bus and The Caretakers Cottage. For those of you that like rural camping you have the candy Cabin which smells like peppermint and the Sugar Shack, which smells like fresh cookies! In these two rural cabins there are no bathrooms or kitchen. But they do have comfy beds. The campground has those amenities on property.

Each cabin is meticulously decorated to match the theme of the character. Crafters from all over the world have contributed their handmade items to fit the theme of the cabins.

The campground sits on a beautiful rolling stream. Alongside the stream you have wooden swings, which makes you feel like you are over the water. The campground has a great deal of outdoor games, especially a big chess set. What is so cool is they have boho inspired hammocks where you can lay and listen to the babbling brook. It is so relaxing.

The owners Steve and Mary are so friendly and accommodating. They took their dream from an abandoned campground to a beautiful, wonderful magical retreat. You see DREAMS DO COME TRUE!

Those of you with RV’s, there are RV slips on the stream waiting for your arrival.

As you walk through the grounds you will see fairies, gnomes, hanging teapots and magical lights at night.

They have a beautiful specially made Harrah’s Pottery fire pit. At night it glows so beautiful. It just memorizes and relaxes you. Take your coffee or hot tea out there and roast marshmallows and make s’mores.

We stayed at the Caretakers Cabin. What a Harry Potter vibe. I was waiting for all the pots and pans from the ceiling to start flying around! The bathroom has this huge copper deep soaking tub with a rain shower coming down. Don’t forget to bring bubbles for your bath. The cabin is adorned with the most beautiful items. The beds are upstairs and very comfy.

Every detail is on point. Pets are allowed in this cabin. They even have sticks for your dog to play catch.

The weather is changing and with that comes the beautiful fall colors and then the snow. Give yourself, your loved one or your family a breathtaking much deserved break and come to THE MAGICAL MOUNTAIN RESORT. You will keep coming back!
