Local Realtor On TV — Realtor Mindy Sepinuck hosted a premiere party Tuesday, June 21 at Suri West in Wellington for an episode of House Hunters on HGTV that she was featured in. Sepinuck gathered with family and friends to watch the TV show, which filmed last September. Sepinuck worked with Shawn and Astrid Mitcham, who purchased a home in Boynton Beach. Father’s Day 5K — The Purple Chicks held their fourth annual Wellington Father’s Day 5K Run to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society on Sunday, June 19 at Village Park on Pierson Road. The run has raised more than $30,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, not including this year’s race. Shown here are the Purple Chicks, Sheryl Esquilin, Barbara Matthews and Robin Lingenfelder.
New Rabbi — Temple B’nai Jacob of Wellington is welcoming a new spiritual leader. Rabbi David Sislen, shown above, will become the temple’s fulltime rabbi, cantor and education director starting Friday, July 1. Sislen takes over for Rabbi David Abrams, who announced his intention last year to step down as the Conservative Jewish congregation’s spiritual leader.
TWBA Social Event — Members of the Western Business Alliance gathered for a networking social event on Thursday, June 16 at the Men’s Wearhouse store in Wellington. Italian food was catered by Mario the Baker in Royal Palm Beach. Several lucky guests won prizes in raffles. Shown above, TWBA board members gather at Men’s Wearhouse.
Helmet Fitting Event — Wellington’s Community Services Department, in partnership with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Safe Kids Palm Beach County and Wheels of Wellington, hosted a bicycle helmet fitting on Saturday, June 11 at the Wheels of Wellington store. Approximately 50 helmets were given out so kids could be safer on their bicycles.
