The 2013 graduates of Leadership Palm Beach County’s adult program.

50 Complete Leadership PBC Program Leadership Palm Beach County (LPBC) recently honored graduates of its Adult Leadership Program on June 6 at the International Polo Club Palm Beach. The program exemplifies LPBC’s mission to identify and unite diverse leaders to increase understanding of countywide issues and improve participants’ ability to lead effectively. The class of 2013 is the 29th class of local leaders to complete the program. Its 50 graduates join a network

of more than 1,000 alumni. Each year, LPBC selects 50 leaders to participate in a 10-month experience that grants class members access to influential people and significant sites throughout the county, as well as hands-on experience with major local industries and community issues. The class meets once a month to examine social, economic and political issues. As part of the program, class members select civic engagement

projects to address the needs and goals of nonprofit organizations. In 2013, leadership class members worked closely with representatives from Alpert Jewish & Family Services, Big Dog Ranch Rescue, Habitat for Humanity and Take Stock in Children to help these organizations reach strategic goals. The recent graduation ceremony stirred excitement among the 2013 class members to stay involved with Leadership Palm Beach County.
