intro La C.U.P., nata nel 1980, ha radici molto più antiche. Naturale proseguimento della Cooperativa Fratte del 1958, si è creata grande esperienza e solida struttura negli anni. La competenza acquisita nel settore estrattivo e di lavorazione del Porfido Trentino e la costante ricerca tecnologica le permettono di offrire svariate soluzioni innovative e di qualità. The C.U.P. company was established in 1980, but in fact dates back before this, as it was the natural continuation of the original Fratte Cooperative founded in 1958, it has gained precious experience and a solid reputation through the years. Thanks to its ongoing experience in quarrying and in the processing of Trentino porphyry and ongoing technological research and development the company is able to offer a host of innovative, highquality solutions. The company sets itself daily goals, that demonstrate its commitment to accident prevention, safety and environmental respect.

PIETRA NATURALE La Val di Cembra, in Trentino, è uno dei luoghi più famosi al mondo per l’estrazione del porfido, roccia vulcanica effusiva. The “Cembra” valley, in the region of Trentino, is one of the most famous porphyry quarrying sites in the world, defined as an effusive volcanic rock. Its main qualities being its great resistance and frost-proof nature, as well as its varied array of colours which makes it one of the preferred materials for civil building work and for urban design elements. C.U.P. boasts an excellent quarry situated in the heart of Montegaggio in Albiano, and is therefore in a position to guarantee its clients quality materials, speedy processing and professional skill.

Il cubetto è la più antica lavorazione a spacco del porfido, che ha permesso di far conoscere il prodotto su larga scala grazie alle pavimentazioni eseguite nelle più belle piazze e strade di tutto il mondo. L’estrema versatilità di posa, l’eccezionale durata e le svariate colorazioni ne fanno ancora oggi la lavorazione più richiesta. CUBES The cube as it is commonly known, is the most traditional type of porphyry processing, which has given the stone such a widespread renown, thanks to the fact that it is the stone used to pave some of the most beautiful squares and streets all over the world. The extreme laying versatility, its exceptional hardness and the variety of different shades continue to make this stone one of the most popular today.

TILES Available in various sizes, thicknesses and finishes, these tiles come with either sawn or split sides, with either natural, flamed or polished surfaces. lastrame Il lastrame è la lavorazione più naturale del porfido perché ottenuto direttamente dalle operazioni di cernita in cava. Un prodotto con piano naturale di cava con diverse dimensioni e spessori è particolarmente adatto per la posa di marciapiedi, vialetti, giardini o per il rivestimento di muri.
IRREGULAR SLABS The slab is the most natural kind of porphyry processing as it is obtained directly from the sorting operations in the quarry. A product with a natural quarry surface and which comes in various dimensions and thicknesses making it ideal for paving pavements, avenues, gardens or as a wall coating.

I tranciati e gli smolleri sono due prodotti nei quali il piano naturale di cava non rimane a vista: la parte visibile è tranciata per ottenere un effetto rustico. A seconda delle dimensioni può essere utilizzato per il rivestimento di muri, per la costruzione di muri a secco o per la pavimentazione delle strade.
RUSTICATIONS and COARSE TILES Rustications and coarse tiles are two products in which the natural surface does not remain visible: the visible part being cut to give a rustic effect. According to dimensions it can be used as a wall facing, for the building of dry stone walls or for road paving.
