LEADER. FOUNDER. AUTHOR. Paul was a founder of the Ellerbe Becket Sports Design Office in Kansas City that designed $3.5 billion of sports projects during his tenure. He shepherded a practice which grew from four to over 150 employees and developed the international business including the Manchester and Oberhausen arenas. Paul is passionate about speaking and writing about the profession, and his writings can be found in Stadia Magazine, Pan Stadia Quarterly Review, and Architectural Record. Paul enjoys working and designing within the sports side of architecture, as he believes sports venues at their best are the emotional heart of a city, and a backdrop for memorable social interaction.
