Captain Sim 767 Freighter Expansion.

Before you read this you may want to read my review of the Captain Sim 767 base package in FlightSim Magazine issue 5, available to read at:

Exterior.

The exterior model of the freighter expansion isn’t really all that different that the base package, other than the large cargo doors, and the fact that she doesn’t have any windows on the main fuselage, but I guess, really what do you expect that’s really all that a freighter is. Don’t get me wrong though, it’s still amazing in quality, and really lives up to the Captain Sim name, for quality, and detail on their exterior models.

THE

FLIGHT SIMULATOR JOURNAL. Interior.

Now to my personal favourite part of any flight simulator add-on. The interior. Captain Sim is more widely known for their amazing exterior models, and animations, however I have come to find that the interiors of their add-ons are equally amazing! The virtual cockpit that comes with the freighter expansion, is exactly the same as the regular base package, but the virtual cabin is very unique to the freighter model, and really is the main reason in my mind to get this add-on. Simply put, it is amazing.

In my mind if you don’t already own this amazing add-on, you should certainly look into adding it to your collection! It’s got 4 out of 5 stars in my books!

Just Flight’s Canberra PR9. The English Electric Canberra is a British first-gen jet powered bomber, built in the 50’s. The Canberra served with the RAF right up until 2006, the Canberra served with the Indian Air force until 2007. The Canberra PR9 more specifically was a photo-reconnaissance version with a fuselage to 68 ft. and a wingspan increase of 4 ft.

THE

FLIGHT SIMULATOR Exterior Model.

JOURNAL.

The exterior modeling of Just Flight’s Canberra PR9, is absolutely exquisite not one little detail was left out in the design (modeling/skinning) of this add-on. Everything, and I truly mean everything looks as it should, and is true to the real Canberra PR Mark 9. This screenshot (above) really shows just how realistic looking Just Flight’s PR9 is. If you look really closely you can see that every marking on the textures is just as it should be, even right down to the absolute smallest decals.

THE

FLIGHT SIMULATOR

JOURNAL.

The interior of the add-on is equally amazing, and detailed as the outside, so is the lighting of course. Every single little detail in the VC is right were it should be, and works just how it should if it were in a real Canberra. If you haven’t ever read on of my reviews, or articles before (then your missing out!) the I should inform you that I LOVE A GOOD VIRTUAL COCKPIT, and if you have already read one of my articles, or reviews then you already know this!

Interior Model.

Well, overall she’s a great add-on, and well worth the $45 to get her. The exterior modeling is amazing, the texturing extremely detailed, and the virtual cockpit true to the real thing!

Amazing Exterior Model.

JOURNAL.

The exterior of this add-on... Now that’s a true work of art, a real masterpiece, the cherry on top of an of Just Flight’s offerings, even if this were a $50 payware add-on I would still be “head-over-heals” for it, that’s “Just” how detailed, and dare I say perfect the exterior is on this FREEMIUM 757.

An Interior Fit For A King.

The interior work on Just Flight’s FREEMIUM 757 is great! If you burned the invoice, you could easily trick even a seasoned simmer into thinking that you paid top dollar for this one! Overall I think that the interior compliments the exterior very well, however I must say that it just doesn’t compete with some of Just Flight’s other payware add-ons, such as their new Canberra PR9.

THE

FLIGHT SIMULATOR

JOURNAL.

Final Thoughts. Overall I thought the FREEMIUM 757 was a great add-on, perfect for people new to flight simulator add-ons and veterans, the “freemium” add-on truly is a premium free-ware add-on, and certainly rivals any of the top payware 757 add-ons available on the market today for Microsoft Flight Simulator X.

FSDT Vancouver.

THE

FLIGHT SIMULATOR

JOURNAL.

FSDT, also know as FS Dream Team’s representation of Vancouver Intl airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, or P3D is of amazing quality, and continues along the path of excellence that you’d expect from an FSDT add-on.

THE

FLIGHT SIMULATOR

JOURNAL.

My overall impressions of FSDT’s Vancouver, was really good. The product is extremely high quality, and the price of $41.00CAD seems very reasonable to me for the kind of product that you are getting. The only real downfall to the add-on that I found while testing it was the impact that it had on my FPS, which is expected from a high quality scenery, and it wasn’t really that bad, only about 3. Overall (I really like that word in-case you hadn’t already picked up on that) I would highly recommend this product to you! I can assure you that it will really boost you simulation experience!
