HAVEN OF FLAGSTAFF Congratulations to Haven Health's Nancy Emerick Haven Health is known throughout rural Arizona as the respected provider of choice of skilled nursing and rehabilitation. While there are many intentional and deliberate efforts that have established that reputation, there is one undeniable influence that has made it all possible—its people. Nancy Emerick, Executive Director of Haven of Flagstaff and Flagstaff resident, was recently honored and presented the Executive Leadership award by the Arizona Health Care Association in its 2019 annual conference in Scottsdale. Emerick has been a part of Haven Health since 2013 just before the location in Flagstaff underwent a full-scale multimillion-dollar renovation. Emerick has been a caring professional for more than 20 years in several roles throughout the country. At Haven Health, Emerick leads a team of 115 dedicated caregivers in various capacities. But it’s not just the professional experience at work here.

Haven Health’s employees have been essential in achieving superior patient care. While every accolade Emerick has earned is well-deserved and merited, Haven Health honors her and those who she leads for something no award could adequately recognize—their genuine goodness, human kindness and care for each other and for the people they serve. Haven Health is proud they have chosen to be a part of the skilled nursing provider and employer of choice in Flagstaff.

The skilled nursing and rehabilitation center is home to nearly 83 residents and treats more than 400 short-term stay residents each year. Haven Health has consistently been rated a Five Star Facility by the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid services under Emerick’s leadership. The patient outcomes achieved in Flagstaff are the cumulative effort of Emerick’s tenured experience blended with the complete dedication of every member of the care team.
