Your JOURNEY This 13-night Southeast Asian excursion is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that truly knows no boundaries. Your thrilling experience begins in Vietnam, whereby you will embark on a range of sightseeing activities across Saigon, Hue, Hoi An, and Hanoi. Next on the agenda is the gorgeous country of Cambodia. Here, you’ll explore the delights of Siem Reap as well as visit the majestic monument of Angkor Wat; a bucket list destination unto itself. It goes without saying that you’ll return home with a whole host of unforgettable memories.

Vietnam A country that has defiantly stood against empires for thousands of years, Vietnam has emerged from past centuries as a modern state where old traditions are very much kept alive in both the blossoming cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as in the villages and towns along the Tonkin Bay. Further

south from Hanoi, pay a visit to the old imperial capital of Hue. Once the seat of power for the Nguyen Dynasty the Forbidden Purple Palace, the surrounding citadel and the majestic Tombs of the Emperors serve as perfect glimpses into Vietnam’s magnificent past. Finally, we come to the south of the country. A place

where the mighty Mekong River flows into the sea, where the great Ho Chi Minh City remains constantly awake, and where the gigantic network of the Cu Chi tunnels run underground as a stark reminder of the resilience and ingenuity of the Viet Cong during the war. In Ho Chi Minh City visit the Notre Dame

Cathedral and the opera house, or tuck into a delicious portion of pho or a banh mi sandwich, before going on a boat tour to explore the Mekong Delta. Vietnam is a delightful and friendly myriad of sights and you’ll never to find yourself short of things to do here.

Cambodia Situated on the Indochinese peninsula and bordered by Thailand and Laos, Cambodia is a Southeast Asian gem characterised by majestic waterfalls, inspiring temples, and magical jungles. The mighty Khmer empire is still present throughout the region, particularly through the temples of Angkor, while

the urban scene thrives in the likes of Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. Siem Reap is located in northwest Cambodia, and the name of the city literally means Siamese defeated, referring to the victory of the Khmer Empire over the army of the Thai kingdom in the 17th century. Siem Reap doesn’t shy away from the thriving

contemporary art scene and classic French architecture, but still is a hub of tourist entertainment thanks to the world-class dining and diverse nightlife – but no trip is complete without a visit to the incredible Angkor Wat temple. Additionally, Phnom Penh conjures up images of the exotic, and was once called

the ‘Pearl of Asia’. The Cambodian capital sits at the junction of the Mekong and Tonlé Sap rivers and is the most populous city in the country. The ornate Royal Palace is the main attraction, boasting a Khmer architectural style and is the royal residence of the king of Cambodia.

The buzzing metropolis is a whirlwind of culture and history, boasting bustling markets selling colourful items, cafés serving authentic coffees and cuisines, and a whole host of sightseeing attractions. The Cu Chi Tunnels are one of the biggest draws to the city, an infamous underground network whereby the Vietnamese would use to travel during the war, keeping civilians safe, but also giving the fighters the element of surprise against their enemies.
