château was restored following the damage it suffered during the Revolution, and now houses a number of significant manuscripts, volumes and stained windows. The area is

perfect for keen walkers and also boasts an exclusive race course. Most importantly though, delicious Chantilly crème was created here!

Château de Montvillargenne Experience an enchanting and impressive chateau stay at the 4-star Château de Montvillargenne hotel, which is set in a 15-acre park of verdant forest, only a 30-minute drive from the Charles de Gaulle Airport. Steeped in history, the largest chateau hotel in France is characterized by its Norman architectural style and individually decorated guest rooms. The luxurious property has an elegant gourmet restaurant, where you can taste an authentic French menu, plus a charming bar. There’s a wellness center with an indoor pool, sauna, steam room, fitness room and massage booths. Reims The unofficial capital of the Champagne growing region, Reims is framed by vineyards and the beautiful city plays a large part in the sparkling wine’s production. Be sure to sample the exclusive beverage

whilst you are in the region, perhaps whilst dining at one of Reims’ four Michelin-starred restaurants, which epitomize the region’s fine-dining scene. The striking Gothic cathedral of the city has seen the crowning

of many French sovereigns and it was painstakingly restored after severe World War damage. Stained-glass windows by the early modernist artist, Marc Chagall, were installed here in the seventies. Other things

to see and do in Reims include visiting the Roman ruins, admiring the art-deco architecture or visiting the Palais du Tau, Basilique St-Remi or MusĂŠe des Beaux-Arts.

Mercure Reims Centre Cathedrale Hotel The 4-star Mercure Reims Centre Cathedrale Hotel is ideally located for exploring enchanting Reims, only a 10-minute stroll from the gothic Notre Dame Cathedral. The hotel itself has a panoramic restaurant, Le Rem, located on the mezzanine, which offers authentic regional and seasonal cuisine in a classy setting. You can also enjoy a glass of the bubbly at Le Blanc de Bulles, the hotel’s champagne bar. Interiors are modern and colorful here and services available include Wi-Fi and online check-in, whilst there is a fitness center, outdoor tennis court and golf nearby. Each Classic Room is comfortable and contemporary, with tea and coffee making facilities, bathrooms with rain showers and a warm purple color scheme. Please note: Private parking is available at the Mercure Reims for an additional cost. Street parking is free.

Champagne TOUR Make your own way to the C.H. Mumm Champagne house, which is nestled amongst rolling hills and flourishing vineyards. You’ll be treated to a 1-hour tour of the reputable champagnemaking establishment, with a knowledgeable guide to explain the traditional production processes and rich history of the ancient cellars. Finish the tour with a tasting session, where you can sample a range of the refined champagnes for yourself. Please note: A paper voucher is required for this tour. Please print and bring with you on the day.

Paris Combining rich culture, history, food, wine, fashion, and yet more food and wine, Paris is a city for sightseeing and indulgence. The French capital has been the home of artists, writers, exiles, bohemians and libertines for centuries and the City of Lights is still the goto destination for a romantic escape or arty

city break. Wander the charming streets and wide boulevards of the city; follow the River Seine or meander to one of the lush, green parks. Join the locals enjoying a drink and a gossip at a street-corner cafĂŠ, where pavements are dotted with small round tables and red

and white wicker chairs. Order a morning coffee and buttery croissant, as you watch the hustle and bustle of the metropolitan city pass you by. When the caffeine kicks in, set off to find the famous attractions that first drew you to Paris: the iconic steel monolith of the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the

artworks of Monet in the Musée d’Orsay, and the spooky gargoyles perched on the Notre Dame Cathedral. See the Louvre and the Sacré-Coeur lit up at night, gaze across the vast city from the top of the Montparnasse Tower or buy an unflattering caricature in the old artists’ quarter of Montmartre.

Hotel Gaston Renovated in an artistic style, the Hotel Gaston is a quirky base in the French capital. Far from a standard hotel, this hub of arty interior design and contemporary style is a refreshing take on high-quality accommodation. Bold colors and striking prints decorate the communal corridors, and the dining area combines modern, casual decor with traditional finishing touches. Rooms maintain the imaginative flair with framed wall art, a soft gold color scheme, indulgent fabrics and monochrome carpets.

Located in the city’s 17th district, the hotel is less than half an hour’s walk to the Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Élysées, and just 10 minutes from the Wagram Metro Station. The hotel offers a continental buffet breakfast, where there will be a choice of French pastries, cold meats, and cheese to take advantage of. The 24-hour reception is on hand to assist with anything you may need and rooms have modern amenities such as air conditioning and a flat-screen television.
