Safari Ltd® provides educational information online in 5 different languages. Our team of Safarians is always researching the latest wildlife news, paleontology discoveries and conservation efforts in the name of sharing and educating. Our latest online tool, SafariPedia®, is a nifty apparatus we created in order to document wildlife spanning back to the prehistoric era and make this information accessible to children, teachers and animal enthusiasts. SafariPedia® is constantly updated, so we’ve got the latest and greatest critters showcased in this digital hub.

So is imagination As an imaginative bunch, we believe in the art of play. Creativity is a fundamental element in the learning process and so is daydreaming, by the way. The Artistic Process Safari Ltd® figurines are made with the utmost artistic and precise integrity. Our group of sculptors meticulously research and study every animal’s anatomy prior to creating a lifelike model. Each product is then manufactured in that model’s likeness and hand painted with delicacy, making no two Safari Ltd® figurines exactly alike. This added layer of uniqueness is another reason kids, adults and collectors love our figurines!

Museum Quality At Safari Ltd®, we carefully craft our product for the most perceptive eyes of all – those of a child. Our Monterey Bay Aquarium® Sea Life collection is developed with one more step in the process… science. Created and produced with the same unique, accurate practice above, this special collection is our passion collaboration. Each accurate-to-scale product is updated with the respected, up-to-date scientific research from our planet-loving friends at the Monterey Bay Aquarium®. As science is updated, so are Safari Ltd® figurines.

Rolls Royce of Dinosaurs Our Safari Ltd® Dinosaur collections have been heralded by many established professionals and educators in the paleontology field. Teachers have used our dinosaurs as supplements in the classroom citing their remarkable accuracy and detail to the magnificent creatures that once ruled earth. Additionally, prehistoric era buffs compliment our work as the most stunningly authentic figurines in the market. Safari Ltd® Dinosaurs were also featured in Jurassic Park, so there’s that.

Tried and True Safari Ltd® has fans spanning from our inception in the 1980’s, many of which have kept their childhood figurines and enjoy them today. We’ve got the fan posts to prove it! Our toys are specialty lifetime treasures that don’t have to stay on the collection shelf.

Bernie!

Mascot Extraordinaire

Safari Ltd® is the only toy brand with a mascot. Bernie the alligator was a personality created in an effort to give Safari Ltd® a face that fans could recognize. The alligator has been a part of the logo for many years, but it was only recently that we gave him a name and began a campaign to re-introduce Bernie to the world.

Notes:

Every Toy Guru should know the Bernie story which very closely parallels the story of how Safari Ltd® began… The story begins on October 13, 1921 in Elberfeld, Germany, as Bernie becomes a new member of the animal kingdom family. Most animals born into the animal kingdom aren’t allowed to choose their destiny, but the chordate phylum master sensed that Bernie was destined for greatness and allowed Bernie the ability to choose who he wanted to be. Knowing that his father loved the great tennis player nicknamed “the crocodile”, Bernie was immediately drawn to the reptile’s class. The Alligatoridae family welcomed Bernie with open arms. Being the revolutionary figure he turned out to be, he knew he would end up in America and chose his genus name to be alligator. Shortly thereafter, Bernie made his debut in America by landing in New York City. The fashionable, armored, young alligator learned a lot of his stealthy moves while navigating the big city, but he knew he wanted to build his home in the swamplands. The freezing winters of New York City caused Bernie to hibernate in his gator hole, which made him miss his Alligatoridae family. In the 1930’s, Bernie heard of a place called South Florida, the sunshine state “home of the alligator”, and decided this would be a great place to make his home. Bernie’s friends, the American alligators, taught him about life as an alligator and what it means to be a loyal friend. His new friends told him stories about how their population started to disappear, but nice people established

laws to protect them and got their population back up. Bernie took these stories to heart, so being the great thinker that he was, he headed to Germany in the 1940’s to defend his friends and unexpectedly found the love of his life, Rosemarie. Bernie wanted to show off Rosemarie to all his friends, so they traveled for the next few years digging hollows in whatever mud they could find. Bernie kept thinking about the friends he met in South Florida and how he grew to like the home of the alligator. Therefore, in the 1960’s he and Rosemarie returned to Miami, Florida. Bernie and Rosemarie raised their little alligators in the lovely, muddy burrows and taught them about continuing this great genus. Bernie’s youngsters grew up fast and started taking their own places within the animal kingdom, so he and Rosemarie began traveling again.

They both decided to return to Germany and rediscover the place where their hearts met. They started to hear about these places called zoos that were helping some of their friends stay alive when they couldn’t find a safe home. Bernie and Rosemarie decided to head to the Munich Zoo to see some of their German friends and learn about how the zoo was lending a helping hand. This trip was where Bernie’s true destiny was discovered. He and Rosmarie found an awesome card game that sparked their next great idea. Safari Ltd® was born in 1982 creating Toys That Teach® all about nature and its conservation through the joy of play. Bernie and Rosemarie did everything they could throughout their lives to educate people about the beautiful animal kingdom and how to protect it. Today, Bernie’s spirit is ever so alive as he continues to spread the word on the importance of conservation, by creating Toys That Teach® to pass on from generation to generation.

MAP Policy Our MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) policy was designed to protect our retailers from a volatile market and eliminate the act of competing solely based on price. It is meant to create a minimum advertised price so our online retailers do not sell to endconsumers below this specific price. There are other sections of the MAP policy that prohibit any retailers to sell on Walmart.com & Amazon.com. We also limit our US customers from purchasing our products and selling them in other countries. More details are found on the MAP policy itself.

Pros: - Allows us to gain control, to a certain extent, over the prices our items are being sold for, which allows us to maintain their true value. - It is a way to stabilize the market so that brick and mortar retailers don’t struggle to compete with online retailers. - We are able to stop working with partners who are not interested in a healthy business relationship that promotes mutual growth. Cons: - Creates work for several departments with respect to investigating which customers are violating our policies. - Initially, it was not well accepted by some retailers, which created animosity towards our brand. - It is illegal is most countries outside of the USA, which makes it difficult to control the value of our brand elsewhere. We want to eliminate the possibility of working with a retailer who may violate our MAP policy. This is why it is important to profile new customers thoroughly. If you still feel somewhat suspicious that this potential customer may sell on Amazon, sell below our minimum price, etc., speak with your supervisor and get approval to limit their first 3 orders. 1st order – Limit to $500 – Prepaid terms only 2nd order – Limit to $500 – Net 30 terms 3rd order – Limit to $1,000 – Net 30 terms If they have not violated our MAP policy, you can now speak with your supervisor and discuss the client’s future terms. Safari Ltd® has been creating quality, value-priced figurines for three generations. Safari Ltd® is the exclusive USA distributor of GeoWorld & Eugy toys. We recognize that our quality partners invest time and resources to deliver an extraordinary customer experience through knowledgeable staff and compelling vendor presentation. To protect the investment of our quality partners and the Safari Ltd® brand reputation, we have unilaterally adopted a MINIMUM ADVERTISED PRICE POLICY (“MAP policy”), effective July 1, 2015. This MAP policy prohibits resellers from advertising any products sold by Safari Ltd® (including but not limited to Safari Ltd., Geoworld & Eugy products) a specific price designated by Safari Ltd®. Promoting based on low-price, instead of service and value, can be detrimental to Safari Ltd’s competitive position and resellers’ service and support efforts. Safari Ltd® believes that these advertising and sales practices are unfair, and discourages such efforts. Safari Ltd®, in its unilateral discretion, will not do business with any reseller, as to the products covered by this MAP policy, if that reseller intention ally advertises any MAP product below its designated MAP price. Safari Ltd® is confident that this program will strengthen the Safari, Geoworld & Eugy brands and benefit all of its resellers.

Official Policy and Guidelines 1. The MAP policy will be enforced by Safari Ltd® in its sole discretion. Product advertised on the internet more than 5% below the MSRP (manufacturer’s suggested retail price) will be a violation of this MAP policy. 2. Safari Ltd® reserves the right, in its unilateral discretion, to take other action with respect to any reseller that violates this MAP policy. 3. Safari Ltd® recognizes that any authorized Safari Ltd® account can make its own decisions to advertise and sell any products sold by Safari Ltd® at any price it chooses without consulting or advising Safari Ltd®. Safari Ltd® similarly has the right to make its own independent decision at any time regarding product allocations and reseller participation as a member of the Safari Ltd® Authorized Reseller Program. 4. Internet auctions may not display or have reserved bid or other acceptable prices more than 5% below the MAP. 5. Safari Ltd® will maintain an updated “MAP Products Master List” of those products that will fall under this MAP policy. Safari Ltd® reserves the right to update or modify this list at any time. It shall not be a violation of this MAP policy to advertise in general that the reseller has “the lowest prices” or will match or beat its competitors’ prices, or to use similar phrases; so long as the reseller does not include any advertised price below MAP and otherwise complies with this MAP policy.

7. All products listed will have a MAP retail price. Listing a price other than the MAP retail price next to the featured MAP product in any advertising will be viewed as a violation of this MAP policy. This MAP policy applies to all advertisement of MAP products in any and all media, including, and without limitation to, flyers, posters, coupons, mailers, inserts, newspapers, magazines, catalogs, mail order catalogs, internet or similar electronic media including websites, forums, email newsletters, email solicitations, television, radio, and public signage. Such website features as “Click for Price,” automated “bounce - back” pricing emails, pre-formatted email responses, forms, automatic price display for any items prior to being placed in a customer’s shopping cart, and other similar features are considered to be communications initiated by the reseller (rather than by the customer) and this constitutes “advertising” under this MAP policy. This MAP policy also applies to any activity which Safari Ltd® determines, in its sole discretion, is designed or intended to circumvent the intent of this MAP policy, such as solicitations for ‘group purchases.’ 8. From time to time, Safari Ltd® may permit resellers to advertise MAP products at prices lower than the MAP retail price. In such events, Safari Ltd® reserves the right to modify or suspend the MAP retail price with respect to the affected products for a specified period of time by providing advance notice to all resellers of such changes. 9. Where Safari Ltd® products are bundled with or sold as part of a package that includes other products (whether or not manufactured by Safari Ltd®), it shall be a violation of this MAP policy to sell or advertise the bundle (or package) at a price that: (a) is lower than the total Minimum Advertised Price of the Safari Ltd® product or (b) violates the letter or spirit of the MAP policy. It shall be a violation of this MAP policy if products are bundled with or sold as part of a package that includes products not pre-approved by Safari Ltd®. 10. It shall be a violation of this MAP policy to include in any advertising for products sold by Safari Ltd® any additional discount, coupon, gift card, or incentive (whether in the form of a special event, promotion, term of doing business or otherwise) that translates into an immediate price reduction, where the cumulative effect would be to reduce the advertised price of any MAP product. Advertising that includes an additional discount, coupon, gift card, points, or any other incentive for future purchases (regardless of whether the future purchases are of a Safari Ltd® product) shall be evaluated under the same guidelines as described in Section 9 regarding product bundling. For example, a gift card redeemable on a future purchase would be considered an “other product” under Section 9.

Although resellers remain free to establish their own resale prices, Safari Ltd® reserves the right to cancel all orders and indefinitely refuse to accept any new orders from any reseller whose net retail sales price is less than the current MAP retail price established by Safari Ltd®. 12. Safari Ltd’s sales representatives are NOT permitted to discuss this policy, or any other agreements with respect to Safari Ltd’s policy regarding reseller advertising or pricing. This also includes any consumer program or promotion that affects MAP products. 13. Safari Ltd® has an exclusive Amazon fulfiller agreement with Avalanche Brands. This agreement strictly prohibits the sale of our merchandise on Amazon.com by anyone other than Avalanche Brands, Safari Ltd® or Amazon.com. 14. Safari Ltd® has an exclusive agreement with Avalanche Brands. This agreement strictly prohibits the sale of our merchandise on Walmart.com, Target.com, Jet.com or any big box store website, without written approval from Safari Ltd® 15. Safari Ltd® recognizes that many Internet sites ship internationally, however Safari Ltd® reserves the right to prohibit retailers from shipping our products outside the USA. If a retailer ships Safari Ltd® , Geoworld Or Eugy products outside the USA, they will be in direct violation of this MAP policy. 16. Any violation of this agreement results in suspension of payment terms, discounts, and all special programs until further notice. 17. Failure to comply with this policy will result in all outstanding payment invoices to become due immediately.

Return Policy Notes:

Need to return some or all of your order? No worries! Here’s what you’ll need to know: •

Safari Ltd will not accept claims under $5.00 USD.

Claim must be filed within 10 days of receiving your items from Safari Ltd®. If Safari is not notified until after 10 business days have passed, we cannot guarantee that a refund, replacement or exchange can be issued.

Photos will be required of damaged or defective items in order to properly process a refund claim.

All sales of Hot Deals/Sale items are final and are not eligible for refunds or credits.

Please allow up to 2-4 weeks for Safari Ltd® to process your claim or issue an RMA. Once returned items are received by Safari Ltd, please allow 14 business days to process your refund.

You are responsible for return shipping costs if the item(s) are returned for any reason other than a defective or incorrectly shipped products. Restocking fees (up to 20%) may apply.

Returns MUST include a valid RMA number issued by Safari Ltd®. Returns without an RMA may be subjected to addition processing time, and a potential delay in crediting your refund to your account. A refund cannot be assured without a valid RMA number.
