By Hanaupon a time, there was a lady tree in a forest. Her name was Kitty.
She listened to three dinosaurs playing music The eldest one played guitar, the middle one played piano and the youngest one played drum
A time passed by, the young sprout grew bigger than a lady tree They fell in love and soon had many baby flowers blooming.
Then, the tree felt sad because she had no siblings like the dinosaurs
The flowers turned into children oranges. Both trees did not want people to pick their children So, they grew thorns to scare people away.
The End -
One day, the lady tree saw a cute sprout growing near her. The sprout continued to grow big and handsome

Writing is ThinkingWriting is Thinking
By Ms. NuiWriting brings many benefits to a person who practices it. It is essential for our thinking development memory, logic, and communication. Putting our thoughts in writing also enables us to reflect on it later.
According to a German researcher Martin Lotze, creative writing is similar to athletics at the neurological level. His study found that both professional athletes and professional writers had similar brain patterns during their respective activities. An article published by the Metropolitan State University of Denver on "Writing is Thinking Tools" stated that writing creates deeper connections with subject materials at the neurological level, which helps improve memory. Moreover, writing by hand correlates more strongly with improved memory than writing with an electronic or mechanical device.
Especially among children, writing is not encouraged as much as it should be. The New York Times article "Why Kids Can't Write" revealed that three quarters of both 12th and 8th graders lack proficiency in writing, according to the most recent National Assessment of Educational Progress. Moreover, 40 percent of those who took the ACT writing exam in the high school class of 2016 lacked the reading and writing skills necessary to complete successfully a college level English composition class.
Children of this era may write copious impulsive text messages. This is not as beneficial as formal writing. So, it is important to encourage our children to start writing seriously now to gain cognitive benefits and skills. Promote writing in children’s lives, keep up with it, and experience how it helps them think.

1) PUBLISHING IN PRINT
Essay writing takes children away from impulsive texting. It allows writers to slowdown, reflect and deliberate. Holding a printed copy also enables readers to get an overall picture of the copy before reading it. Readers can take time scanning through pages, spotting small things on each page, and selecting what interests them first without much of a distraction.
2) EXPRESSING ONESELF IN A GLOBAL LANGUAGE
English is widely used around the world. Writing in English enables children to share their opinions as global citizens. Moreover, for those whose English may not be their mother tongue, writing in English also allows them to come out of their shells. English language culture can help remove some boundaries of voicing an opinion.
3) IMPERFECT BY DESIGN
Children's writing may contain imperfections, including typos, grammatical errors, and unsound structures. Their handwritings are also neither uniform nor beautiful. FLAIR emphasizes process over production. We encourage children to be brave daring them to put their thoughts on paper and finishing the work. One of the most important parts of the process is to require that children also revise and polish their work. However, we understand that there still may be flaws and we actually cherish these imperfections.
