Show Open Times: Sunday 27 March 0930 – 1700 Monday 28 March 0930 – 1700 Tuesday 29 March 0930 – 1600

Welcome Back! A warm welcome to Scotland’s Trade Fair and Scotland’s Speciality Food Show 2022. Our last edition of Scotland’s Trade Fair in 2020 seems a long time ago now! So we are delighted to be back once again, doing what we do and bringing buyers and sellers together. Whilst much has changed in 2 years and we have all tried new ideas, many of which will remain embedded in our businesses, there are certain aspects of what we do that are hard to replicate. Amongst these is the ability to see, feel, touch, smell and taste which is so important when choosing new products. In addition, it is absolutely vital to keep bringing new products and ideas into shops and not to wrest on laurels and rely purely on existing formulas and suppliers. There is huge

competition both offline and online so keeping stock fresh and exciting is critical as we navigate out of the pandemic. I believe the opportunity to find these new products and ideas is more important than ever to ensure customers remain loyal and excited about what you can offer them. There are many ways to achieve this but one of the best has to be visiting shows to keep abreast of new products, trends, product innovations and new suppliers that you can introduce to your customers. I hope with over 450 suppliers you find plenty to keep your customers happy this year. Thank you so much for supporting the show and I would like to wish you a very successful 2022. Born in the islands’ seafaring communities, Guernsey jumpers have a rich history and a hard-wearing reputation. The Guernsey came into being as a garment for fishermen who required a warm, hard wearing, yet comfortable item of clothing that would be able to resist the sea spray. We make our jumpers from certified British Worsted Wool.

Capricorn Mohair Socks are made from luxury Mohair fibre and have all the properties you want in a pair of quality UK made socks: warm and comfortable, hardwearing, machine washable and best of all they don’t smell after use!

Morrison’s Crafts & Gifts F43 Clydebank

Nick Field Art

LG50

I began by copying old pictures of Edinburgh from the 18 and early 1900s. This then progressed to my own images of the city, and then, one day, I quite literally passed a highland cow standing by the side of the road near South Queensferry. The move from the structure and form of buildings to a tangle of hair was a huge leap for me! But, I found that each cow, like buildings and any face, has its own individuality, which is now what I look for. Yet with each drawing that I did, I was asked if I did anything in colour, so I put my pen down and picked up a pencil. I then purposely stayed away from the detail of my black and whites and looked for a contrast of colour and vibrancy.

Originally from the Isle of Harris, we use the islands beautiful cloth in our products and every piece is made in our workshop on the outskirts of Glasgow.

Make your own gin kits Our Gin Maker’s kits were the first to market and are arguably still the best. There are eight kits in the range each one beautifully packaged using sustainable materials. New for 2022 are our Letterbox Gin Maker’s kits which are exactly the same excellent quality as our larger kits but now they fit through a letterbox. We receive regular five star reviews and we were recently voted the most eco-friendly Gin Maker’s kits by BBC Good Food magazine. In the last month we have been selected as a Finalist for the Gift of the Year 2022. And, you do not need an alcohol licence to stock these gifts. See the complete range on Stand H18.

For more information please contact Lynda Symonds on studio@kitchenprovisions.co.uk or 07768 454844 www.gin-etc.co.uk
