PRIDE AND PREJUDICE

Mark Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet in Pride and Prejudice

Mark Darcy is a wealthy aristrocrat and crosses paths with Elizabeth Bennett at an important ball. Although, Elizabeth Bennett is below his social standing and societal expectations, he notices Elizabeth Bennett is within his reach and midst. Mr Darcy finds her fascination with him and childish behaviour as a symbol of her low standing, and her social graces as inherently unseemly and detestable, drained at her advances. Elizabeth Bennett has however strong ideals and views about what she deems as his arrogance and his high regards for his Upper Classes and his adherence to social stratification which is absurd, as deep down she understands that he is deeply in love with her, as she is too. By the end of the film they demonstrate their love to each other, as Mark Darcy falls for Elizabeth Bennett.
