Unlike traditional graduate programs, the two-year Master of Arts in Global Affairs offers pragmatic skills combined with theoretical rigor to tackle real-world challenges posed by globalization.

Cybersecurity and Technology Policy – Online, Spring
The Cybersecurity and Technology Policy track combines technical and non-technical foundational courses necessary to understand cybersecurity, as well as emerging technologies and the broader policy implications in an increasingly interconnected world. The program includes courses in policy formation, computer sciences, law, ethics, business and international relations, to cultivate a holistic understanding of one of the most important security trends in the 21st century. Specialized courses include:

Globalization and Security – In-person
This track approaches security as a fundamental human need from the perspective of the traditional geopolitical-military approach and the newer, more critical view that the state-centered high politics approach distorts understandings of contemporary security problems. Security pertains to both old and new threats that concern individual states but also transcend individual state boundaries impacting communities, ethnic groups, individuals or the international system as a whole. Specialized courses include:

International Crime and Justice – Online
The International Crime and Justice track readies students to operate in the areas of domestic and international crime and justice. The track allows students to distinguish themselves from more general criminal justice programs by offering distinctive specialized credentials while at the same time establishing expertise relevant to national security, defense, international organizational missions and countering criminal threats.
