It allows you to manage various functions, including sending pre-recorded emergency announcements, sending live announcements via the gooseneck microphone, resetting system alarms, silencing emergency sound signals and other defined functions from the requirements of the EN54-16 standard.

In addition to the keys dedicated to the functions described above there are the other 100 keys that are associated with the zones in which the announcements are broadcast, they are used to select / deselect the zone on which to send the announcement.

Each module is capable of controlling up to 4 connection lines of beacons, through a power contact and the diagnostics of the line, by detecting the conditions of “short circuit”, “open line” and “dispersion to the ground”.

The maximum capacity of each line is 5 A. The power supply of the beacons is tipically included from 110 to 230 Vac. The ECBI module is powered by the ECxI rack unit by means of 24 Vdc voltage, coming from the PSDV module.

The ECRI (External Control Relay Interface) module manages output relay contacts (volt free contacts) and opto-isolated inputs. Each ECRI module is able to manage: • 8 output contacts • 8 inputs coming from closed contacts or voltages included from 5 to 60 Vdc. The working mode of each input is selected by jumpers based on the ECRI module. The positioning of each jumper determines 2 possible operating modes: • “VC”: the input is controlled by a DC voltage; • “CC”: the input is controlled by the closing of a free voltage contact.
