hite Waltham, December 2012. Luxury Italian furniture specialist, Lida Cucina, and highly acclaimed design practice, Alexander James Interiors, presented their latest concepts for luxurious living on Thursday 13th December 2012 at their showrooms in White Waltham, Berkshire. Alongside cocktails and canapés, Luke Thomas, a rising star within the culinary world and Britain’s youngest head chef gave mouth-watering cooking demonstrations for their guests throughout the day.
As the only retailer in the UK offering Arrex kitchens, visitors to the Lida Cucina showroom can browse the latest models from this luxury Italian supplier, alongside leading appliance manufacturers including Siemens, Küppersbusch, Luce and Atag. Iconic brands such as Gaggenau, Miele and Sub-Zero are also available. The dedicated Pedini area is a popular stop-point for customers who demand the absolute best in contemporary cooking and entertaining kitchen design. This was added to the showroom in December 2011 and showcases several ranges including iconic Pedini curved models Dune and Integra.
The pre-Christmas celebration marks the first time that the two businesses, led by managing director, Robert Walker, have come together for a shared showroom event. The talented designers from AJI have styled the Lida Cucina showroom and also created the interior for Luke Thomas’s restaurant, Luke’s Dining Room, within boutique hotel ‘Sanctum on the Green’ in Cookham Dean in Berkshire.
Set within converted farm buildings, the Lida Cucina showroom is full of charm and character. Further exploration reveals bedroom furniture, wardrobes, dressing rooms, and living rooms, all from exclusive manufacturers to bring discerning Italian style and comfort into any contemporary home.
2012 has been eventful for Lida Cucina with latest developments bringing them ever closer to offering luxury solutions for the entire house. Multi-media company, Futurehome, was acquired by the group in September 2012 and gave demonstrations of their state-of-the-art audio, visual and control technology. Products on display include a small Home Cinema, multi-room audio including ‘plaster in wall’ speakers and Scandia ‘drop’ speakers, HD video distribution, and Home Control by iPad. Towelrads is also a new introduction to the showroom. With innovative designs, and radiators that standalone in the home as sculptural works of art in addition to the practical function of providing efficient space heating.
