EXCITING DEVELOPMENTS at Worth School
STUART McPHERSON
Located in 500 acres of Sussex countryside between London and Brighton, Worth School is easily accessible while offering a beautiful environment in which to live and learn.
A
fter a summer of outstanding exam results at A Level, IB and GCSE level, the big excitement at Worth is the arrival this September of new Head Master, Stuart McPherson. Originally from Australia and a father of four, Mr McPherson was formerly House Master of Penn House at Eton College and a teacher of English. Families will be able to meet Mr McPherson at an Open Day or through a private visit, both bookable via the school’s website (www.worthschool.org.uk). There are several exciting developments in Houses too. An entirely new day house for girls opens which will be under the leadership and care of Mrs Andie Fullalove and her team. The Junior boys and girls in Years 7 and 8 are joining together formally in a new co-educational Austin House led by Mr Paul Ambridge and his
team, and moving into newly refurbished accommodation in the former stable block. To complete the latest changes, the Chaplaincy now sits a central location on the campus while a stunning new Art department and gallery will open in the New Year. In addition to excellent facilities, the school is continuing to offer exciting subjects in the classroom as well as a brilliant wider curriculum which includes everything from judo and horse riding to wildlife conservation. Find out more on an Open Day (19th September, 3rd October, 21st November) or sign up for our popular Taster Days (for current Year 8 students on 25th September, and for current Year 6 students on 27th November). We are always happy to arrange private visits.
