aunched in 2022 by Saudi-born entrepreneurs Nada Altobaishi and Hala AlSharekh, Lavish is not just an e-commerce platform; it’s a cultural gateway showcasing the hidden gems of the Middle East, catering to ethically curious consumers seeking more - they crave cultural connection and responsible practices. Initially a humble pop-up, Lavish curated art, fashion, and homewares from Middle Eastern artisans, which emphasize timeworn techniques and ethical sourcing. To mention just a few designers: each piece, from hand-painted plexiglass clutches by HALA & TATIANA, Dalsh Designs’ contemporary ethnic clothing, and Yarrakesh’s artisanal Moroccan kaftans, narrated stories of heritage, empowerment, and resilience. Aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 objectives, Lavish broadened its horizons by forming partnerships with the Saudi Arabia Cultural Bureau and collaborating with regional designers. This progression reached a significant milestone with a noteworthy event held at the French Railways House in October, serving as a platform to showcase emerging talent and promote cultural understanding. Lavish’s journey intertwines craftsmanship with cultural connection and responsible practices, representing a unique blend that resonates with a global audience, especially during times like the Holy Month of Ramadan.
