faculty UPDATES Anne Beatty Anne was appointed associate editor of Management Science last January. She served on the scientific committee of the 2012 Journal of Accounting Research/New York Federal Reserve conference on Disclosure, Transparency, and Financial Reporting in the Financial Services Industry. Anne also chaired the dissertation committee of two PhD students who graduated in 2012.
Darren Roulstone Darren helped organize the 2011 American Accounting Association Annual Meeting in Denver, Colorado, and was a discussant at the 2012 meeting in Washington, D.C. In 2012, Darren presented research in a number of settings, including the University of Michigan and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

J. Richard Dietrich Dick concluded 11 years as department chair in January 2012. He was elected to serve in The Ohio State University Senate from 2012 to 2015. He and Fisher Professor Anil Makhija, Department of Finance, collaborated on a study that examined leasing the Ohio State parking operations to an outside vendor from an economic perspective.
Andrew Van Buskirk Andrew was a discussant at the American Accounting Association Financial Accounting and Reporting Section Midyear Meeting in January 2011. He was a member of the dissertation committee for a PhD student who graduated in 2012. Andrew is an adhoc reviewer for many journals, including Accounting, Organizations and Society.
Brian Mittendorf Brian was appointed coeditor of Production and Operations Management Journal, along with Fisher Professor Anil Arya and Stephen Gilbert (The University of Texas at Austin) for a special issue on information and incentive issues in supply chains. Brian participated in the emerging research panel at the 2012 American Accounting Association Ohio Region Meeting.
Richard Young Richard served as program chair for the 2012 American Accounting Association Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. He has served as the Accounting Honors program director since 2006. In 2012, Richard presented current research at Michigan State University and the International Economic Science Association Conference at New York University.
